Ragnarok didn't have a story either in mmorpg mode, but in anime mode they managed to make a story out of it...

So i'm hoping for the same thing from Maple Story...

That or maybe they will make short stories from all the individual quests available in MS

lol, i have given up on this game for close to 2 years now... but it's going to be interesting to see how they adapt it, looks a bit childish to me.

The pictures in the introductory post of this thread are just **FanArt** and not the real animation that Madhouse Studios are aiming for, which at present we don't have any idea of.

Well actually the wallpaper in front was not really fanart, it is an official character design that was taken to become a wallpaper. Either way, i dont see how much madhouse can change the character designs and still call it "Maplestory". The game itself distincts itself from other games with its cute-ish monsters and character designs.

I managed to play Maplestory for about... a month. It was fun in this repetitive way. XD I hope they make some sort of cute little story to go alone with this. Or something comedic. With the monsters being how they are it should be comedic.

I was playing in the beta when it was out. Took me awhile to quit.....

But if it's like anything like RO anime, then I'd expect the worse(at least RO had very nice looking classes, ex. Priestess

It would be great if they made this kind of like school rumble or lucky star where every episode is made of 2-3 mini episodes.

And instead of an actual story, make it like lucky star where they display how people act in the game. Like Ks fights, defaming (lol), and hacking!! That would be so funny. like on episode, the main characters should see a hacker flying and they desperately try to grab on to him so they can report him to the GM.

I hope they make this a comedy, because it will fail if they make it anything else.

This was hardly on my interest list, but the PV (curtesy of Anime Banzai ) makes me wonder if this will be a worthy successor to Otogi-Jushi Akazukin afterall.

So Youn Ha doing song for Maplestory, I guess it fits since she's Korean and she sings in Japan. I seriously doubt this will be good, only good thing that I see is Youn Ha's song.

Well I remember this game taking up about a year of my life. Then it stopped working on my computer fortunately.

If anything, I'm gonna watch this for entertainment values only. It can really go either way story/depth wise---I wouldn't hold my breath for anything too amazing. Eh, but I'll still probably watch the first couple episodes in hopes of maybe being proved wrong.

Well... sadly the OP turned me off. Looks far too kiddish.. I don't think I will be watching this. Maybe one episode just to preview (like I did with that Powerpuff Girl one...)
