Suzuko Mimori's singing voice was amazing the first time I heard over and I will like it even more as it progresses!

It's like they run out of variations on the "Boy snatched to fantasy medieval land", a premise I am getting tired of. I'd have prefered alt universe based on the Spanish Golden Age for pirates and conquistadors, or a steampunk gothic verse with a dash of Once Upon a Time in China, for a little change.

Plot sounds kinda weird, but I'm rather intrigued at Half-elf Maid. I think I'll put this down as a "maybe".

Nice to see it animated this time, and I'm liking the soft look which is certainly pleasant to my eyes. I see some new characters in that pic that I haven't seen before, so I'm very interested. And looking forward to pantyhose meganeesan

And the "spread the word of moe to fantasy realms" anime has been added by Crunchyroll.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopi...tbreak-company

2 1/2 day delay is a bit of a bummer though

The intro was a bit tedious but better than expected overall. I'll keep watching it.

That seems like a terrible way of running a protectorate. The HEE is subject to a japanese monopoly. What kind of imperalistic nation uses a protectorate as exclusively a market for products that they are the only suppliers for on a normal market? Besides, where is all the resource stealing? Magic would be an aweful nice advantege for japanese car manufactorers

Well, Episode 1 is certainly very accurate and thorough in capturing the stereotypical modern otaku and all of his preferences and tastes. If ever you needed proof that the anime industry knows its core demographic exceptionally well, this anime provides it in flying colors!

I really liked the opening scene. Lots of nice, little shout-outs to prominent otaku properties, including NGE, Hatsune Miku, and my personal favorite, Madoka Magica (the magical girl on the mousepad is basically Kaname Madoka re-imagined as a PreCure girl).

While obviously a self-referential comedy, the show also plays its premise very straight, so it's not too hard to get into the plot. It's also a fantasy show, which I like, but which rather ironically was once big in anime but hasn't been in a very long time. Whoever came up with the idea for this show is pretty clever, imo.

A show all about self-referential comedy would usually not be my thing, but this show thus far executes it with a certain care and finesse that means I'll probably stick around to see if it can keep it up or not.

If there was any doubt they know their audience, it was dispelled when Shinichi said "That's too bad" when he found out there were others males around.

Not bad. There's at least a spark of wit here, and a somewhat humanistic sensibility.
