I'm not sure why Ika is considered one of the biggest threats left to the Madoka faction. She only cracked 400 votes once, and that was way back in the first round. If you don't crack 400 votes, you probably have no chance at all against a Madoka girl.

Kuroneko, OTOH, actually brought in more total votes this block final round than three of the four remaining PMMM girls did for their block final final round. Kuroneko is a serious threat, imo.

Likewise, Astarotte also brought in more total votes this round than three of the four remaining PMMM girls, and she has cracked 400 votes twice (in the two most recent rounds at that).

I actually thought Ika would of been the strongest threat to Madoka with Railgun out of the picture. Going on the previous round, Ika didn't reach 400 votes. Ruri however actually got a bit stronger with the increased pressure of a possible snipe and ended up getting a tie for the second most votes for the round (tie with Lotte and Second behind Sayaka).

Does it mean Ruri has a chance? Maybe not. At least I know she will put up a fight in the quarterfinals.
It all depends on the random draw now.
But for a few minutes, I get to celebrate at least one of my major favorites finally reaching the top 8 (and actually get to witness it)

Unfortunately all the characters from my top tiers didn't survive all the way to the quarterfinals. So no great end open for me. Still from those 8 remaining characters, I would classify them as:

Good End: Ika, Erica, Lotte
Normal End: Madoka, Ruri
Bad End: Sayaka, Kyouko, Mami

I don't really dislike any of the bad end girls, but while I loved PMMM as a series, I didn't get much moe from it. And the puella I liked the most and found the most moe, Homura, is long gone.

All in all, realistic speaking I can only see a Normal or Bad End happening. Hopefully I end up wrong.

Mikoto and Tenshi would look a lot better in that top 8 but alas it was not meant to be. Multivoters showed their true colors and instead we get another Rie and a Strike Witch.

Kurisu, Victorique and Homura would look good in the top 8 too but we all know what happened.

Here's hoping your prediction is right then!

Basically, I'm looking for the all-around best-case scenario for:

1) Maximizing the chances of a PMMM girl winning it all.

2) Almost guaranteeing that one of Madoka or Sayaka is in the finals.

3) Giving Coldlight a chance for what I think is his dream final. I'd be happy with that dream final as well.


My own dream final would be Sayaka vs. Madoka, but I have real doubts that both could get there given the strength of Mami and Kuroneko.

A Rie K "Hat Trick": CONFIRMED as the first slot is drawn by her character Astarotte Ygvar again this year*!

Madoka Kaname second pick out of the pile and will lead off the other side of the draw with position five.

Kyouko Sakura third pick out of the 'barrel draw' and has (appropriately) placed in the third position. Puella Magi Madoka Magica will not have a full sector of the draw to themselves this year, and guaranteed finalist.

Squid Girl fourth marble to be drawn into barrier seven for the last race on the quarter finals card.

First final will be between Erica Hartmann and Astarotte Ygvar .

Sayaka Miki provides us with an all Puella Magi Madoka Magica third match up against Madoka Kaname and consequently a Puella Magi Madoka Magica character will be a semi-finalist regardless of the outcome.

Ruri Gokou from Ore No Imouto will be the opponent for the only Puella Magi Madoka Magica character in the top half of the draw Kyouko Sakura.

As for Mami Tomoe well kid you have the job on the squid!
