Does anyone know anything about the progress of CLAMP's latest manga Kobato? Is it still running in Japan? How far along is it? And are there any graphic novels that have been published?

According to the people who are translating it there were seven chapters released in Japan, although only five of them have been scanlated.

I don't think it's been pulled together into a tankoubon - not enough chapters? Also, I think it's just another one of CLAMP's manga on hiatus; like Gouhou Drug and X, they'll carry it on eventually.

At least I hope...

The new Kobato will be released in Newtype on October 10! Is anybody a fan? I find the story of Kobato (Temporary) pretty simple and nice. I wonder what Kobato will be about, or maybe it will be a continuation?

Yes yes yes! I'm definitely a fan of the ultra cute Dobato.

I read the news of this new Kobato and now I'm like Sakuya wondering. :O So the the "Temporary" in the title DID mean temporary haha.

That makes it more mysterious. The "temporary" felt like it was just a draft to me. Maybe it'll become dark and bloody like HOLiC?

Nah, wishful thinking. Darkness and Kobato does not match.

Hahaha they definitely don't match. Well, maybe if the series focused on Ioryogi (the pet dog). He's just so... scary. XD

His expression is scary but it all just seems so comical than scary. The first chapter must've come out by now. I am excited.

But who knows how long until we foreigners actually get to see it.

Ohh right! We might not get it soon, but at least find some reviews or something similar. Please if you did find one link us, I get lost easily in websites/LJs/communities.

Of course. I did find this one LiveJournal a while back that kept you up-to-date on the new Kobato. But I cannot find it any more. I've checked Google but most of the sites that turn up are not it.

I think that LJ would have a high chance of putting up at least a review.

As stated from ANN's article starting in the June's Edition of Newtype, Kobato will start being it's serialization in the newtype monthly magazine. I don't order Newtype myself so i'll wait for it to come out onto a manga release ^_^. Till then, we wait.

ps: ahhh, it so freaking cold. It's beginning of Apirl too, how bazaar. 39 degree Fahrenheit.

At the moment it's not. But I don't know what i mean when it's serialized in Newtype. I haven't seen/read any news of it getting published. Ask Neosam, he'll probably know.

I guess it all depends on how much manga material there is by the time Kohaku appears in the TV series.

What an incredibly touching chapter. I was in tears about the same time as Kobato was.

Well this is interesting. I was re-reading chapter 15 of the manga and it appears that the events in Wish occured 12 years before the events in Kobato. It's when Heaven, Hell, the human world, and the Otherworld (I keep thinking about the European stories of the fairy realm when they say Otherworld) and they mention an event involving the bridge between Heaven and Hell plus and angela and a devil. Sounds like Wish to me, but how then does Kohaku appear in the latest chapter?

I'm getting the feeling that the Wish characters are supposed to be the same ones as the Wish manga characters. CLAMP does so many casual crossovers that when they make a big fuss like they have about the Wish one it feels like it's the same characters. Actually this would be unusual for it to be the same characters in a crossover, I think the only two other characters with that distinction in a CLAMP manga are Yuuko and Clow in Holic.

And she mentions Suchiro which makes me think this is going on during the events of Wish, especially with the latest anime episode, but is it possible that she is referring to the reincarnation? But Wish is clearly set in modern time so the hundred year timeskip doesn't make sense... __________________ If it has a plot I have something to say about it! Twitter time!
