Takagi was in great form this week. Her teasing is growing more and more flirtatious, above and beyond what it already was. I noticed on TV Tropes it claims Takagi likes to make ploys where she wins either way. Eagerly taking an indirect kiss then challenging him to respond in kind is a fair demonstration of this, as is their competition where she promised to give him her first kiss if he won. He loses she gets to tease him or even make him do something, and if he wins she gets to kiss him. Win-win for her. Also, the umbrella scene reminded me a little of a scene from School Rumble, where the heroine tries to get her crush to say words like "love", just so she can hear them from his mouth.

Episode 3:
Poor Nishikata. He loses again simply by getting flustered after being teased of a kiss from Takagi. He gets too distracted! The umbrella sharing segment was kinda cute. It's like one of those childhood moments that brings nostalgia when I watch this.

Takagi is so good at teasing him. If he were more aggressive he might turn the tables though I believe she will just take it and be like "yeah, okay" if he proposed to kiss her if she loses. And she would probably call him a pervert who wants to kiss her so does that mean he likes her which will make him lose his cool for sure.^^

She really isn't being subtle here
 .But this was a pretty fun one. She can own him with tricks, but also with just being openly honest. The undeniable advantage that she understands her feelings and is comfortable with them. Best part probably was the sharing the umbrella section.

I really enjoyed the part where you could see Takagi physically struggling with herself to not tease Nishikata because he was sick. Too bad he didn't hit her with the "you're cute" phrase, surely that one out of nowhere would have shaken the unshakeable Takagi-san. xD

I love her; I just want to see her show a couple moments of consideration beyond NOT tormenting him when he's sick. She's already made it abundantly clear how much she loves him, but I hope to see her stick out her own neck from time to time, maybe doing some of the work regardless of her victory once or twice. I suspect we'll see that at some point, since it's clear she does love him. I just hope it happens soon. It's not like showing some true kindness/helpfulness has to get in the way of her teasing. Especially if she chooses to tease him with honesty and flirtation like she frequently does.

Not to mention Takagi's a sneaky one. She was telling the truth that she'd never lied to him before then. She even gives him chances from time to time like deliberately giving away her score.
But then she lied to him one time, and here's a question: what was the lie? We already have confirmation from the first ep that she likes him, so that wasn't a lie. Was she lying about having lied? Or perhaps was it a lie because she doesn't consider it a secret? I mean, she certainly doesn't seem to be putting much effort into hiding it. |

While I almost love this series and generally defend Takagi's behavior as not crossing a certain line (context matters), I do think that business with the math test was one instance where what she did was downright cruel. For her it was fun - for Nishikata it was important. Hell, she even admitted that her teasing was causing him problems in school before she sabotaged his studying for the test.

So that's how these kids spend their days of Summer vacation. Interesting.
I mean, Nishikata is already being teased countlessly by Takagi including the moments in the dark tunne. It's going to be a looooong summer for him!

This guy is having a youth most of his classmates would feel jealous at and he's not truly enjoying it, though he still enjoys it though he doesn't get why he does. Him getting so aggressive about tandem riding after hearing that Takagi had ridden a bike with somebody else before was adorable. Same with his reaction when she came all cutely dressed to their first "date" that in his eyes ofc was not a date. Nishikata's summer is going to be one big roller coaster ride with lots of sports with all those daily push-ups. Dude's going to be so strong when summer's over.^^
