Beat X, just that the "t" is emphasized a bit.

oh yeah, small addendum. That's how you pronounce the title. For the units, it's as though it were individual consonants.

Seem the series has been licensed by Illumitoon.

As reported on AnimeOnDVD.
Quote:
Illumitoon New Title Solicitations & Licensing? (07:36 PM EDT): Right Stuf has the early word on the first six DVD releases from newcomer Illumitoon in the first quarter of 2007 and it appears there's a new license involved as well with Beat BtX. This looks to be the B'tX show that originally came out in 1996.

Beat BtX Vol. #1 - 100 minutes - $24.95 - 01/23/2007
Beat BtX Vol. #2 - 75 minutes - $24.95 - 03/06/2007
While the episode count may be 4/3/3/3/3/3/3/3, the retail price is $25 instead of the usual $30.

Illumitoon has also confirmed their acquisition of the license to B't X Neo as well, according to ICv2 News.

i just watched the last episode over dinner and teared a bit. the last episode never fails to make me shed a tear or two,no matter how many times i have watched it. its really a great anime, and perhaps a remake with cutting edge cg would do justice to this almost unknown anime

More than 10 years ago, when this was aired on local TV, it was both kick-ass and dramatic, and so influential that a guy named Engels Antonio built a Beowulf Cluster and named after Lalainya (because of that BT's multiple heads, hence the cluster uses several computers in concert for parallel processing).
