orahteak sorry, but I think your in really big trouble. My best suggestion to save your butt would be to go out and buy the exact same clothes and wash them without making the same error and get rid of the small ones. You can't make something that shrunk that much big again...well you could try getting it wet then putting it on a wet towel and slowly start stretching them out, but I think you might rip it so just go out and buy some new clothes.

HAHA~ lol...... got some ideas though... ^^

1. The Cheapstake End: ask one of your friend to help you out with this... you need 2 people ^^ strech it to the fullest for 1/2 hour or so~ it should come out with a year 7 size LOL ^^

2. The Expensive End: LOL~ like GATX207_Blitz said, buy them back ^^

3. The Dead End: Do nothing~ and get coal for X'mas LOL

the above are only suggestions... good kids do not try at home

lol, sorry to hear that...but this would be the excuse i would use if it ever happenned to me...

Tell your mother it's her fault...if she wants things to be done right she has to do them herself

"See mom...this is what happens when you want me to do chores..."

Haha, I dont even think you'll be getting coal for christmas...if you do consider yourself lucky

wow the exciting conclusion to the story- im getting two coals for christmas. She comes home i tell her the news. She checks the laundry and gets hissy, she say nothing shrunk IM NOT THAT BIG! *guh* collapses on floor. i havent actually checked her sweaters again, but i sweat not even a small dog could wear it with comfort. perhaps santa has blessed me with a early chirstmas miracle and revived the sweaters from doom.

Excuses: (Things to reply with when you are confronted..)

1. Mom, You shouldn't have washed your clothes in warm/hot water.
2. (If your mom replies with I didn't use warm/hot water)... then say... Mom, You shouldn't have washed your clothes in cold water.
3. You should of hand washed your clothes...
4. I did hang up your laundry... I did it immediately after you told me to the first time... and the clothes were already shrunken.
5. Mom, It looks like you gained alot of weight (she might slap you for this one - use at your own risk)
6. It wasn't me...

Last but not least...

7. QUE? NO HABLO INGLES... and run like a mofo back to your room and lock the door.

You could always hire a big fat guy to squeez into them, you should go from 6 year old girl to Bill's Big and Tall shop size in a few hours. Then wash them again to shrink them back to the appropriate size. If that fails, take pictures of the big fat guy wearing your moms clothing and post it on this forum so we can all have a good laugh.

great fun!! i just put in my third load of the day and i have only ruined 3 items in all my life. I would take them down into my torture chamber and put them on my rack. Then, i would pull them back really hard until they are back where they are supposed to be.

I just read this whole thread and I am asking myself, "where the clothes shrunk before he/she hung them up?" and if so, "Why is he/she in trouble?"

I think the initial story is written badly, and doesn't explain the situation well.

As far as I see it, he/she hung some shrunk clothes outside and when the mom came back and got mad at he/she for hang up shrunk clothes.

But if you need an excuse just make counter accusations, it works for the CIA.

One time I saved up enough money to buy this kick a$$ white linen suit for work (my first job). My mom washed my clothes and her brand new blue slacks ... the color bleeded all over my brand new white linen ... sniff sniff... omg I was soo mad... my eyes & face red... and I was screaming at her like crazy hehehe (we have a sister/sister relationship more then a mother/daughter so she lets me get away with it)... and she felt sooooo bad afterwards cuz I was screaming and crying at the same time that she took me out on a shopping spree Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

I don't lose socks if I do my own laundry.

However, if I let my mom do my laundry, yes, socks tend to disappear, I think my mom is hoarding them for some evil scheme.. not quite sure what it is though. Give me time.. *looks around nervously*
