But you can't discard the other possibility. Takahiro's vision for the Manga doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't have enough Anime sense to appeal to a different audience, nor does it mean the Anime team have no say in the matter. There were scenes at the beginning of the Anime that was were just as brutal. All they did was remove the more violent parts and blurred out some. Last edited by Solace; 2014-08-18 at 13:48. Funny thing with Spear is that despite her death and very short appearance she still holds quite the special place among many readers.
Of course not as popular as the Main Cast, but still very popular nonetheless. Myself included, I like how ruthless Takahiro is, but this is that one time I wish he wasn't. I for one would have loved to see her fight at least, properly. Very skilled Spear user and implied Martial Arts Expert (Anime didn't show that she was the disciple of the Imperial Fist's Master). Man, fuck you Nyau.Yeah I'm mad. |

They also cut the scene where that devil guy was walking around with the face of the girl he just skinned.

The difference with Esdeath is this was an entire event that was cut out and made her into a family friendly sadist. Her depraved sadism isn't just for shock value like these extras. It's a core personality of who she is. Cutting out these scenes is dumbing down her character a lot. |

Certainly a shame for how things turned out for the Spear girl. Certainly seemed like she could have turned out interesting. Though I suppose fault goes on her father for being insane enough to return to the capital with how things are. With his mindset they were bound to get killed sooner or later.
I guess it shows that Tatsumi had some impressive luck to survive to the point of getting recruited. Which I guess is fairly obvious since if that psycho family had been in a rush they could have put him in a bad spot within the first night. Now he has good allies and room to grow. Though that might not be enough to save him if he wasn't the MC . The episode did feel like a massive Bulat death flag. That and Tatsumi flaunting his plot armor . He can make all the survival pledges he wants to Akame...he's probably good for them. Bulat's on weaker ground. His background is already out and he's got a pretty personal opponent there. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean death. Akame and Mine got their backstories out without having died yet.

I don't think it's like that completely.Sure you're right but there but I mean there is course more to it.
Spear was supposed to be very strong, but a major point simply is that you cannot hope to defeat Teigu users without having one yourself, that was the lesson in Tatsumi vs Zank. Besides, it's the Sanjuushi, don't be fooled by Bulat making short dealing of Daidara, that's him being ridiculously strong, it's no shame for Spear to be losing to Esdeaths Subordinates. I rather think it's tough luck they encountered those 3 of all people rather than Chouri's mindset. |
