ROFL.. Each person has 3 posts in each page... Not much in terms of discussions from the community.

But yes, Air Gear is great. Its one of those shows that... makes you want to watch it.

Hullo, fellas!

WonderFest 2006 brought us a new Simca kit. Feast your eyes, mates!

Her face looks a bit weird from this angle, but overall, I prefer this one to the PVC that Madhouse built. Which is somewhat of a given, since this is a one-of-a-kind model, while the PVCs are massproduced.

No word on whether it will ever be converted into a figure. Maybe one of the big companies will make PVCs off it next year, if we are lucky.

Simca looks way better with short hair, especially when she dresses up in funky outfits. At least, in the manga.

BTW, I caught up to the episodes I missed during the last 2 weeks or so. Damn, what a trainwreck.

Makigai looks absolutely fugly. For a woman who is supposed to be simply smashing, this was just horrible. I am dreading the horror that they will turn Benkei into. They simply CAN'T do this crap to me!!!

Episode 21 was full of bullshit. They've cut all of the filler which made the story feel disjointed and unintelligable. I am not sorry to see Nobunaga and Co. gone, but it would have been nice if important stuff like:

1) Black Crow
2) How Road Kings are made
3) Other basic stuff that made the story actually understandable

...was left in. Dammit, I don't understand the need to rush the show in such a manner. It's not like they can finish it in 5 episode, so why the the hell are they making it impossible to watch?

Just a horrible sight to behold.

Please, TOEI, don't make Benkei and Yoshitsune as sucky as the latest batch of this mediocricity of an anime has been! Not that I expect Air Gear TV not to suck badly, but... well... you never know...

Is the manga way ahead of the anime? I saw the Scum-scans website they only got up to Vol.9 and vol is about episode 20...

I want to know more about the thing that happen in episode 21.. it didnt explain to me why it hapen so quick.

The manga is at Trick 140 right now. The anime progessed upto approximately Trick 85.

Slightly. The scanlations are somewhere around 86 now, although the anime moved ahead because some of the stuff got dropped from the story.

As for whether Air Gear is "great", my opinion is that it's so far from even being good that it's not funny anymore.

Gonna have to say, ignorance is bliss - now that it's past where I'm up to in the manga, to me it's not as bad as MrProphet is making it out to be, since I don't know what to expect.

Don't get me wrong - the show is still quite mediocre overall - but I've already lowered my expectations accordingly, and the soundtrack is doing wonders to elevate it from bad to watchable.

On another note, what's weird is that I thought the Trophaeum was made up of the Road Kings, but from Simca's words, it looks like they want to destroy it, so would that mean turning on their own? Hmmm....

As MrProphet has said, they've left out a buch of fairly important stuff that helps
paint a bigger picture of the air gear world. My guess is some of it will be introduced later in a typically botched manner.

The end would be The Devil's Thirty Thirty challenge if it was 24 episodes long, 26 episodes would give you nowhere. Toul Tool To's arc seamlessly transistions to the rest of the arcs and it wouldn't be fair if they end it at Toul Tool's.

Spoiler: Simca and Genesis want to stand atop of Trophaeum and control it/conquer it..not necessarily destroy it. They need the kings and their regallias for this. Their intent does not seem to be to turn on their own...but they will not go unapposed...
