Did anyone here already see the subbed episode? At the preview for ep 96 there's some text with 27-8 in it. It doesn't mean the next airing date, does it?

If the upcoming filler arc is good, I don't mind them taking their time with it.

Also, anime-only peeps should rejoice that they can't be spoiled by manga readers in terms of this arc

Dl-ing now, the subbed version, but I wouldn't be surprised. When the last double episode came out with Sasuke and Gaara about to fight at the Chunnin Exam, there was a week break. It was right at the start of the Konoha Crush. I didn't catch the two-episode one before this one during the start of the second test, because I started watching Naruto at episode 52, so I do not know if there was a wait for that one or not.

EDIT: OK, so I thought that people were overreacting about the music when Tsuande makes her comeback. I think I heard that off some porn or something. And Akamaru and Sanntuh are cracking me up with these avatars.

OK the summoning music was cool. But what was up with the long stare down. LOLOLOLOLOL The slug's voice. Is that Al from FMA? And hope that was suppose to be her eye on the top of her head...I just hope.

Finished watching the episode. Great episode. I don't remember that many punches that Tsunade gave Oro in the manga, but it worked. It was cool to see Oro get slapped around. I kind of needed that. The movie trailer does look awesome too. I remember someone saying that they were going to sub it but I forgot which group. I think it was Anime Heaven. Well anyway, I hope it isn't sganime, because that group just disappeared.

Well the longer it is, the less filler we'll get in the good arcs. So I say keep it long, since I have other animes to watch in the mean time.

I would like it to be long, too, about 5-20 episodes so manga could go way ahead the anime and there wouldn't be any filler arcs in the future. It's nice to see something new, too.

And I quite liked Tsunade's theme now that I have heard it couple of times. But then again, I'm an eternal Tsunade fanboy so what wouldn't I like about Tsunade?

Oh yeah, her hooters are too ginormous.

At the end of the preview it says: Next Naruto will be airing normally at 7:27PM

I just very disliked this double episode.
The animation of the Rasengan started to be real good, then Kabuto is whiped out in a white sphere which doesn't even seem to spin (I mean seriously the spinning movement was made better in the static panels of the manga) and definitively ugly.

The tattoo on the face of Tsunade just seems 10x less badass, the voice of Katsuyu is... well laughable.
The impression of fastness of the fight of the summons is completely lost, i don't really know how to explain it but Tsunade handling Gamabunta's sword also seemed less cool, she doesn't reaaly seem to [i]hold[i] it in the anime.

Why did they add a filler to Tsunade/Oro, she needed 20 blow to end Oro for good sake instead of one in the manga, they just weakened her.

The music was kinda weak, the moment whitouts sound at all were worse...

This episode disappointed me.

You seem to get disappointed by everything that's Naruto anime. Personally I feel that the manga chapters corresponding to episodes 95 and 96 were rather dull. Rasengan looked so much cooled in the anime.

As a last inquiry to all of you over-censurers, of whom you are amongs Hunter, don't try to apply all rules of the real world in anime and manga, less alone in the poor fashioned woodwork I've seen. How can you assume it was supposed to be entirely realistic not supposed to be entirely realistic, WAKE UP?

The Rasengan animation sequence was really nice to watch. Overall the hour special was pretty entertaining IMO. The Katon Gama Yuendan was also cool to see.

Speaking of people having funny avatars, is anyone going to create one of the scene where Kabuto tries to help up the fallen Orochimaru. There was just something so horribly wrong with the way the camera angle showed that part. LOL

I thought with genesis rebirth tsunade would be back to 100% so why did she need to punch orochimaru About 20 times? It definetly seem the anime team made her weaker than her manga self.

Actually I wasn't disappointed by an episode since months so it seems you just can't handle a criticism over an episode.

Did you read my post or did you just stop after the first sentence, outraged that I didn't like this episode?

Rules of the real world? Entirely realistic? There is just nothing in my post about that, either you posted in the wrong thread or just have some disfonctionnement of your reading capacity but anyway you made no sense at all.

LOL I thought the same thing. I was just thinking that my mind is really out there. They captured Kabuto as actually have VERY high emotional ties to Orochimaru. You have to, to actually touch his arm to begin with, and rub blood on it EWWW. Everything that I have posted so far has been raw based anyway, so I hope to have some words to go along with that cuddling moment soon. It is taking hellaforever to dl this...going at the unusual speed of 15kbs and i'm not even talking about bittorrent.

You guys don't remember the sequence of the Tsunade/Orochimaru fight.

After Tsunade connected with her first punch she swung Oro around and tried to connect with a second. She missed... and it showed a picture of her muscle structure deteriotating.

One of the females watching the battle, either the apprentice/slug commented on Tsunade reaching her limit, so everything past that first punch was Tsunade past her limit. If you've ever competed past your "usual" limits athletic wise you would know that you aren't even close to full strength.

Just because it didn't follow the manga "exactly" doesn't mean it wasn't explained well. And what is more enjoyable to watch, Oro getting KTFO'd in one hit, or him being beaten to a pulp. Fine you like the manga, thats great, but you're only seeing what you want to see, not whats actually being presented.

But anyways, anyone notice how ripped Tsunade is lol.

And, I thought that Jirayia/Gammabunta fire/oil combo was insane. I really like how they are developing the Ninja/Summon teamwork and hope maybe we'll see some Naruto/Kyuubi play in the distant future.

I haven't read the manga so I cannot tell if it was cooler or the atmosphere was worse than in the manga. In the previous episode the music was great in my opinion and made a great atmosphere, I didn't notice that in the double episode. The animation were a lot better though. Only the fight scene between Tsunade and Orochimaru was a bit worse.
About the filler and making Tsunade weaker. When you are talking about that, I assume Orochimaru is a lot weaker in the manga (that's just logical). Which version of these two, are more right? The manga, you'll say, it's the original.
In my opinion it would be bad if Tsunade were able to beat Orochimaru with just one punch. Probably 20 or more isn't ideal, too, but just one?
I was also disappointed to see the end of the Rasengan. Not much light, no spinning, just a lot of dust and nice groove (is this the right word?) in the ground. I like the chidori a lot more now...

Can anyone tell me what's up? I downloaded eipsode 95-96 from anime heaven but it wont play on my DivX player. Nor Realplayer. Does anyone know what the problem is? It only plays the first 7 seconds then ends...This is messed

In the manga of this chapter she only gives him one single punch, and he's instantly defeated (her awesome strenght Jiraiya was talking about earlier). This took all the 'coolness' of Tsunade's power away. About the fight: Spoiler: Tsunade's slug is completely useless, and the voice of that thing sucks hard too. Just the moment you think Orochimaru gets a good beating he runs away, with Kabuto (again, third time) with him. Just too bad... Did anyone here already see the subbed episode?
