I have always been grateful to be given such an amazing family, though sometimes we don't get along.
I have quite a large family, but I only have five members of my close family. We moved away from the rest when I was very young, and so I only had my parents and siblings. My aunt, who is my mother's sister is very wealthy but she is a bit crazy. My siblings are several years older than I am and they both are living in different states.

The last Eid has refreshed my mind about the laidback atmosphere I used to feel a lot back when all 6 members of the nuclear family still gathered together often years ago, and I should admit it was a fairly healing experience. Bonus point for happening in my Grandmother's place aka. "The Mansion of Electrifying Dramas". My family isn't without problematic experiences, but it's safe to say that overall we are pretty harmonious and close, if a rather odd kind

Family.... can't be born without it...
So what ever happens I'll always be in debt... and will take care of them until the day comes... @You know who you are - Hope you're children will do the same to you... I love my family got a problem with that?! Last edited by NoemiChan; 2012-08-30 at 19:00. |

My parents are quite nice, and my brother is...okay, though he could be a handful. My extended families though, can be...difficult. I was surprised to find that family politics could be so tiring, since I never actually encountered it until after my dad passed away. Maybe he was the one thing keeping these things at bay.

I think complaining about your family is a bit pointless. I also think praising your family is pointless. Everything is just a dice-roll.
It's hard to really say anything even pseudo-objective about this topic because what's acceptable for one person who grew up in their family may not be acceptable to someone else. The very act of growing up in an environment shapes how you think and feel, so there is no right or wrong. |
