Nothing's been revealed yet. Some say it's a form of protection against Amaterasu for Naruto. One could expand from that and say it's a protection from most of the MS techniques but that might be a bit of a stretch. Others say its a tool for Naruto to control Kyuubi's chakra better, but nothing has been stated as certain yet.

That crow could be Itachi's last epic move Susanoo... That would be very funny

I don't think that the crow was intended to protect Naruto from Sasuke though, rather it was to protect him from Madara.

I think that the crow might do a Fourth Hokage and projects Itachi's conciousness to Sasuke when the time is needed.

Oh man i really want that to happen. Seeing those two talk face to face appropriately. That would also explain why Itachi was coughing up blood and degrading, since he gave part of his soul to Naruto.

Yeah, that´s the most likely scenario mentioned yet. Itachi might had known how things would turn out after his death, so the crow will probably contain some urgent message for sasuke, which causes a change of heart or something.

Maybe the crow´s purpose is to protect Naruto from Akatsuki, in order to prevent Madara (or Tobi, we don´t know exactly yet) from fulfilling his goals. But than again, why would Itachi have wanted to capture Naruto in the first place, back in the old days?

However, I prefer the first scenario anyway. :O

I really like Cubs idea, yet it would be funny if Itachi simply shared his disease by giving it to Sasuke and Naruto so that they can die having something in common. Both are too powerful and in a way both could be a reason to start a war.

Would it have been possible for Itachi to implant the Amaterasu in Naruto's eye to got off when he see's Madara's face? Maybe Itachi was tyring to foil Madara's long term plans for Naruto.

^ No, amaterasu is a sharingan technique and Naruto doesn't have one o'those....yet

Also, I don't think it's a friendly hologram of Itachi's, he had said "I pray the day never comes that you have to use it" so I THINK it is a strong genjutsu aimed at the Kyuubi, perhaps one of Naruto's final fights in case Madara decides to unleash it on the world somehow.

Raikage bout to hulk Sasuke a$$, I love how these cats waste no time to get down. I guess Milk boy is going to kill four eyes and take his sword as a replacement, i'm still crossing my fingers hoping it has a spacial power.

The Fourth Hokage never prayed he would never had to re seal the Kyuubi for Naruto but he did as a safety measure, saying he pray's he would never have to use it means he prays Sasuke doesn't become evil IMO

So.. from this chapter I take it that Itachi wasn't fatally ill or ill at all in fact... Sasuke coughed up blood the same with Itachi when using the Susanoo. I'd guess it's just like the Death God's Contract technique.

^Itachi was ill, even confirmed to be ill in the databook, we just don't know how he became ill or when it started. Maybe it was a result from using Susano'o (considering that Susano'o eats away at the users life), or maybe he had some unknown disease, or maybe he had a STD/I that he got from Hana (or whoever his unnammed lover was) back in Konoha when they used to rut like the dogs they were. Whatever the case, Itachi was sick.

You could have made this comment in the current chapter page...
