Setting up a bot?

Does anyone know where I can find a guide to get started on setting up a xdcc bot on a server for downloads? Tried googling it but not really getting anywhere.

IRoffer (linked above) is the most common, if not the only, XDCC bot software employed by fansub groups and beyond. Note that your antivirus software might falsely identiy if as a virus. This is because it can be configured to run in a "silent" mode, which is often used on systems that are hijacked and turned into unknowing servers.

Setting it up is relatively simple, but it wasn't obvious to me at first. You adjust the settings from within the config file. Once you've completed the settings, you drag and drop it onto the program itself, which will then connect and go about its business. There are some basic commands you can use in the terminal, and I used to add all of my files through the terminal (which is a bit of a pain). There's probably a better way to go about it, but those are the basics.
