The closest things are maria sama ga miteru and otome wa boku aka otoboku because both develop in an all-girls school ;howerever, in maria sama you can argue of what kind of relationships the girls have ,and in otoboku the main character is a trap LOL.

Damn there should be more animes like sp ,sure it's not the best, but i mean a yuri series in which you don't have to think twice to know the main cast's preferences.And more happy endings please :3.

Anyway guys I was wondering if any of you have bought the manga.According to seven seas' page it's in stores now(just found out this morning).

There are some manga that have settings in all-girls schools and yuri themes, but anime are scarce. Besides the ones zordon listed above, you might try Kannazuki no Miko - just ignore the mecha parts.

Anime similar to Strawberry Panic which I know of:

-Blue Drop
-Kannazuki no Miko
-Maria-sama ga Miteru
-Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito
-Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~

Seems like the only option left is "otome wa boku."

I will check it out and see if it is on sale~

There are still voice dramas with Tamao and Nagisa going around...but SP! got its shortcomings too. I mean, people liked the Lulim school cast a lot better then the Spica and possibly Miator. I mean in 2006 Saimoe, Chikaru, of all the SP! Cast, nearly made it to the final 8. and this further proves Lulim dominance

You could also check out Simoun. It isn't like SP as far as setting and story but if you're looking for yuri, try that one. It was actually pretty good.

So far no news for a second season only rumors..... evil rumors .The novel ended with 3 volumes, don't worry Seven Seas is translating them >:3!

But if there's a season2/ova, i can see these scenarios:3

1- A prequel : kaori's story with more detail .In the anime we saw Miyuki's point of view.It would be great to see the story from Shizuma's or Kaori's since they were in the middle of everything.

2-One year after the anime's ending:Sure not a lot of Shizuma or Miyuki but i'm also sure that the producers would show an episode where nagisa and shizuma meet,I mean they are on a longterm relationship and have weekends and holidays for a date,and phones/letters for comunication.And is a great chance to focus on other characters or couples. *coughChikaruxKizunacough*

3-Start all over again with a new cast .The girls may graduate but Astrea is still there,will always be there.Also references of the previous season would be sweet.

Anyway guys I 'd like to hear your ideas about a continuation,please.

Hence I said, nearly made it into the final 4 proves how the anime had problems of its own. While I liked it (think it was sorta my gateway anime into Yuri), If a support character had nearly torn up most of her competition in a popularity contest compare to everyone else. Then there are issues.

But back on topic, I propose something like Repure for SP! 12 episodes featuring an episode dedicated to each girl.

Actually, Chikaru plays quite a different role in the manga than in the anime.
