With its current pace, they have gone through 3 story arcs, how Godou became campione, Athena and now Voban. Since LN adaptions are usually ~2-6 volumes (To Aru used 6 volumes for 24 episodes), I'd say it's 12/13 episodes, considering how rushed it is and how much material was already used.

There are 7 BluRay discs planned, which usually translates into 13 episodes nowadays. With the current rate of 3 episodes/volume, that means we'll probably get to see Vol 4 and 5 animated and 2 more girls kissing Godou, which is in line with Ena (black haired chick with a sword) appearing in the OP.

You know if I was animating Campione I would make sure it still feels like Campione. Change a few things here and there, maybe take some unneeded parts out. Follow the Light Novel order. Then do a Movie all about vol 3 since it doesn't fit with the anime.

maybe not although they did voban so easily im not so sure ena will be done quickly at least it all depends it could be 20 or so i wouldnt be disappointed by that

No, it's not hard. 7 BDs = 13 episodes. Example: Horizon Season 1. Do you have an example where 7 BDs contain more episodes, not counting bonus ones/OVAs?

this isnt really fair... the anime went off order.

mariya should of gotten kissed in vol.2.
However the anime decided to follow the true timeline.. so its
Vol.3 (episode 1) Vol.1 (episode 2 - 4) Vol 2. (episodes 5-7)

Once again they change the little things for no apparent reason and it breaks up the flow. The latter half of the Voban fight was seriously underwhelming.

Spoiler for some LN comparisons inside:

The entire stalemate was skipped in favor of a single bolt making Godou tired. No dodging hurricanes. Voban barely ended up using his weather authorities, and worst of all the final lightning tradeoff was kinda meh.

Maybe thats just being sour grapes because I expected too much out of this episode, but it seems to me they are not making cuts in the right places at all.

Right, while most people are either praising the kiss scenes or complaining about changing scenes, let me just say the two Golden Sword scenes in this episode were pretty impressive by many standards and possible where most of the budget and effort went into.

The creation of the giant wave of swords as Godou charges into Voban was pretty cool.

Then in the second round, each individual swords had a change in shape, while not 100% unique as a snowflake, there certainly some variety going on.

he actually ended up wrecking a lot more stuff then godzilla.

Things which were kinda rushed upon on the anime... basically the epilogs.

In the Athena arc, when he used the stallion, he shaved off office buildings in a straight line. He got yelled at by Yuri hard core for that one.

Then he wrecked the imperial garden also during the athena arc. That Big hole you saw in the anime.. and again got yelled at by Yuri Hardcore for that.

Then tokyo tower went up in flames, again Yuri yelling at Godou hardcore.

You see the trend? There isnt a landmark SAFE in japan against Godou.
Which is why Erica calls him a walking disaster, instead of a campione.

Which is why i said they butchered my 2 favorate LN's in 3 episodes!!!!
SAO is a lot worse.... at least campione kept with sort of true first meetings.
The meeting with Erica was as it went, as well as yuri's was rushed, and Lily was kinda rushed.

Decent episode overall.

The conclusion to Liliana and Erica was a bit... err, unexpected. That's kind of a stupid reason to defect, but I guess deep down she didn't want to fight them anyway (plus Voban's a douche).

Godou's battle against Voban was nice. UBW is always cool to watch. Mariya is now officially added to the harem, and I suppose it's only a matter of time before the same happens to Liliana.
