On 2channel, we are now well over 300 threads (300,000 posts), with seventeen threads filled in less than the past 24 hours, since ep7 was broadcast. It has 311 threads -- Bakemonogatari itself is only at 317 threads, after double the episodes.

Customers at Toranoana have given it 1235 votes, compared to Infinite Stratos next at 370: more than three times as many votes as #2. Numbers 3 and 4 are Gosick (350) and Hourou Musuko (345). (Anim-apple blog.)

On Amazon Japan, it is #10 among all DVDs, and #2 among Blu-Rays.

A movie? Would Madoka work in that format? The amount of time is very very much less to build a complex emotional impact. The entire thing would have to be simplified

It is fanmade. The effects used in this trailer are rather amateurish. The video is way too long, too.

The "trailer" did seem strangely constructed. The TV logos seal the deal. Fanmade.

But it could work if they did edit it into at least two feature-length films.
