Fighting against yourself

I played and watched Fate/stay night recently and I want to see something where the main hero fights his own self from future or maybe a paralel world.

Noein fits your specs, and then some. I won't spoil too much except to say it gets kinda complicated, but it most definitely fits. It's also one of the best anime of the last half-decade.

It's a bit of a spoiler...eh, oh well. Try Utawarerumono if you're good with fantasy wars + large harems.

The OAVs of Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles fit this.

It's not an anime but I'd recommend Jet Li's "The One"

It's perfect for what you're looking for.

It's quite literally fighting against yourself =P And if that is what you're looking for, I'm seconding this, although it's not an anime

I third this movie - "The One".....
Have always been wondering if i'm the only one who watched it....

Both Bleach and Soul Eater (as far as i knows ) are only about fighting inner self, not really physically fighting yourself so you should double check... Ga-rei Zero have few minutes of fighting your own "clones", but it does not end for long. A super old manga i knows "Locke The Superman" have the protagonist fighting with his clones several time, with one chapter he was beated up quite badly....but it's a manga and it's really old.....

Sorry... worked over my brain but can't think of one =(
