I don't know what you all mean about Konata comforting Kagami, she seemed too involved in her Otaku buying spree to notice her, maybe I missed something...

This was a really great episode though, very well done. Plus, any episode with lots of Kagami screentime is a good one in my book. I doubt KyoAni did that for the purpose of SaiMoe, but it certainly didn't hurt Kagami's campaign.

Oh my, this episode was superb, one of the best imho!

Tsukasa really killed me, the deers rampage was priceless

Kona and Kagami should publish one of those kanji learner books, for those of us who have trouble trying to memorize them ^^; -> "Learning kanji has never been so much fun"

I'm not 100% sure but the Buddha reference with the "options" around his face was Gradius? Lol that game was broken as hell

Poor Kagamin, I feel so sorry...
maybe it's part of her "half fortune"? half fortune is getting a letter... the other half is that it's not a love letter

and, for different reasons, I feel sorry for Kuroi-sensei too! I really, really understand how you feel

ffs.. 64 peers and only 4k/s downloads.. even if most of them are being greedy leeches i should still be able to get faster than that... I think my ISP has taken a leaf out of the comcast book.

Great episode. Sad that there is not that many left.

I liked Tsukasa's reaction to the mention of Comiket.

Lesson well learned, you never feed food to wild deers! I have to watch this episode again because somehow, the episode just went by so fast I don't think I have caught everything (references, funny lines, etc.).

I was a bit happy that it was not a confession. Konata X Kagami FTW!

Poor Kagami. Then again, her not-boyfriend was fugly and stupid, so it's really for the best.

Hee. Akira's violence is contagious! Shiraishi's caught it!

It's nice to see Miyuki hanging out with the other three.

Minami's really worried about her chest. And poor Yutaka's bustiness has been absorbed by Yui...

Great episode.

One question:

Is the photo covering the "half" kanji of the "half fortune" phrase?

While I am not impressed with any of specific scenes, I find the quality in general
better than most previous episodes.
For example, the movements when Yui sits down, Tsukasa falling asleep and her elbow slipping off of the desk and scenes in the bus too. Not just Kyoto and Nara scenes.
At the same time there are minor glitches though... Not completely perfect.

And not too much of interaction is seen other than the four.
(Hiyori was good enough by herself though)
In that regard this one was slightly inferior to the ep 20.
(AAAGH! Now please show us Misao happily eating her dishes!)

Score in total 8.5, rounded to 9.

Spoiler for Possible spoiler or whatever, too long anyway:

It's a quote by Ono Daisuke's character from AIR.

Random things I got and appreciated during the episode:

- Hiyori and the artistic hell. As in, this inspiration that comes in the least convenient times and you"ll never be able to express. Every one of us who, one day, had artistic aspirations have gone thru it.

- Girls want to have fun! I meant the whole Kyoto trip around the historic sites, etc... Something about how it was done managed to capture that feeling.

- Poor lonely Kagami. I am biased toward Konata, but the loads of Kagami-centric scenes in this ep, and those of the previous ones, are slowly tipping the balance in Kagami's side.

- Lucky Channel. It happened! Shirashi had enough with it! He snaps, wreck the whole Lucky Channel stage and the people LOVE him for that!

This episode was as delicious as a Black Forest cake, it all depends on how you enjoy it. I ate it bits by bits, knowing that it may be the last.

EDIT: 2.00am here, need to sleep.

Hahaha, loved this episode!

Poor Kagami, from her comments in earlier episode I knew she was interested in having a relationship but in this episode we see how lonely she is.

Poor Kuroi sensei, when the server's down, she has no life! ><

Ah well, seeing Tsukasa in all those awkward monents was hilarious! I loved it!

really love this serie, and this episode was really great
I love the part where Yui her sister came inside the room and it fixed on her ..., so funny it absorbs everythin
also the ending song and the freaking out in Lucky star made my day
also I kinda laughed so hard with kagami waiting for that one guy and like all the randomness in this serie, like the air tv reference ^^ cant wait for the next one
10/10

I wasn't commenting on why they went, I was commenting on how I recognized where they went since I saw that in Negima!...

Well Kyoto and Nara has always been the backdrop for school field trips in manga.

Kyoto being the old capital and Nara with all its shrines.
