The Type 58 has such bad soft stats and penetration compared to the T-34/85 that it feels quite authentic, as if I'm actually a Soviet tank commander stuck with a shoddily mass-produced vehicle, only able to rely on his wits and teamwork to stay alive. It's weird that I have to drive a Chinese tank to feel Soviet. Russian bias!

VK3601(H) with 88cm acquired.
Its pretty awesome so far and bouncing shells from KV-IS's is glorious. I'll need to get the crew trained up and whack a rammer in there too and it should be a solid performer.

I've been surprised at some of the hits its shrugged off considering there isn't really any slopped angles besides the turret.
That said I have been swarmed on a couple of occasions but it does seem more durable than any medium I've played before.

I'm currently trying to take advantage of Saint Patrick's Day Weekend and buying up camouflage. As a general rule I made sure that I do not have the same summer camouflage for any of my keeper tanks, and now only the E-50 Ausf. M is left. The current candidates are the following:
I've already used the Hinterhalt-Tarnung for my Škoda Panther, leaving Zebra, Large Spot, and Threads as valid choices. My general theme for my E-50 Ausf. M is a panzer fighting on the Ostfront, trying to push back the Russian tide which is threatening to swamp Mitteleuropa. For some reason it seems Zebra would fit the quantification, due to Large Spot being more of a deep forest camouflage while Thread is one for the steppe. I might be willing to make an exception and give the E-50 Ausf. M the Hinterhalt-Tarnung, if people can convince me of it. What do you think? |

I love the summer squiggly camo pattern I use it on all my german keeper tanks, its the type I would always see in the war movies and documentaries.
Also I just found something tank related in my attic that is beyond EPIC and I forgot I even had, I'll take a snap tomorrow of it.

I am still not ever going to get the E-100 or its bigger brother bricktank.
Meanwhile... something that's just as garish as the paint schemes in the St. Gloriana friendly match. Also, looking at the MBT-70 page brought me to this... thing. |
