I'm with you on this. As an anime only watcher I really don't see where all the hate is coming from. They had an issue with lack of material for a good stopping off point in the series and decided to try something different. They re-arranged the show to make the story start in media res and then went back to replay the start. At least that's what they did so far. If they keep it up as it is right now (moving earlier chapters forward so they feel like flashbacks) then I personally have no problem with this.

The show has actually been pretty decent so far. Good character designs, coloring is pretty decent, animation is not bad, the sound track is working pretty well and the voice acting is on point. Honestly, judging the anime on its own merits so far, I'd say it gets a passing grade from me. It's 4 episodes in and I still want to watch the fifth, I say it's working fine in my book.

The subs and the messed up release order are making me hate this show, I want to watch it but literally everything around it is making it hard to want to keep watching.

I don't see what the fuss is about; the ordering isn't that big of an issue. I haven't had any problem following along with it. Establish early what's going on, then it jumps around filling in gaps. Then again, I watched Haruhi when it came out and liked how that went so I guess I'm predisposed to this kind of thing, heh.

The biggest point here is... is it even worth giving this anime any points? Think about homeworks. Even one point is better than zero, but does this anime deserve it?

No. The anime decided that instead of making a proper anime and getting money from fans, it took DAnime's dirty money instead.
You could look at it two ways.
-That they made the anime scrambled in the first place, and then made a deal with DAnime to broadcast it normally afterwards
-Or that they made the anime normally, and then scrambled it as part of the contract with DAnime

It would be nice (not really) if it was the first, but I don't give them that much credit and believe it is the latter. Greedy assholes that took money over properly creating something. Heck, taking someone else's work and messing it up to get some money in your pocket instead. And you dare to make excuses about how you had some creative reason for the scrambling on top of that?
Do you deserve to get any points on your homework? Creator points, no. Snake points, yes. Congrats??????

BTW, even if it was the first, you'd still come off as conceited for believing scrambling would somehow make this anime better. You see, this is a fairly typical fantasy story. This isn't mystery or suspense.

What's really sad is that if they had just properly animated it, it would have been a fairly entertaining show. I personally don't care about the scrambling that much, haven't read the manga or anything, but I know I would have enjoyed it more if they just did it normally.
Frankly, if it was just scrambled, I wouldn't have had a problem. I love creativity. It's the fact that they gave the option to view it normally if you paid money that ruined everything.
Imagine Endless Eight. Although it sucked, I understand the idea of running the same story 8 times. They even created 8 different episodes and new voice overs, so it wasn't like they were being lazy.
...Now imagine if they said, "DLC! You get to skip those 8 episodes! (or 7, I guess)". Well then, creativity or a plot to earn extra money now...? See? Harder to enjoy those episodes.

Thankfully, this anime committed suicide, it isn't popular, it won't sell well, and hopefully will teach others that this isn't exactly a good way to earn money.

...Or maybe dAnime can pay twice as much next time, and maybe another snake will take the bait? F*** you.
