They are basically decals that can be applied to any kind of car. Any shop that can print large vinyl sheets could probably make them.
No idea about the licensing thing. Free advertising?

Feito-chan! That one made me smile.

Just because it's unusual doesn't mean it's fake. It doesn't surprise me that someone would get crazy and actually make that.

The graphics on the van looked as if they've been stretched unnaturally and out of symmetry; the shading seems a bit off; the bumper sticker below... looks as if it was glowing or slightly washed out; and oh, on the side door, the doofus pasted his face on it. By the way, I used Adobe Photoshop for 10 years, 6 years of which is at work where I've been doing digital touchup and manipulation on photos, paying much attention to detail. So I can spot a fake after a few seconds.

Driving one of these as your daily driver is a surefire way to prevent yourself from getting laid...As cool as they are, they're obviously meant for show, and definitely not to pick up chicks... Besides, with that kind of decal job and what it would cost to get one done, I'd be pissed as hell if someone decided to be an asshole and scratch the crap out of the car... |

I can see the other practical concerns, though: vandalism, getting more attention than you're comfortable with, people considering you a pervert (or even worse, a lolicon), etc... Also, I think I might find it hard selecting an image to use... a lot of my favourite anime pictures tend to be portraits, which don't fit most cars that well, especially if you want to do a full body decal job instead of just the hood. And if you use multiple images, I imagine merging colour schemes, backgrounds, etc. would be a headache. As for the Wired article... that Lamborghini is owned by an erogame developer? I didn't realize you could make that much money doing that. |

All I can say is be prepared be prepared for some hate coming your way then (unfortunately). Oh, and with Australian courts now classifying some animated works as child porn, (and New Zealand banning relatively tame anime like Puni Puni Poemi also as child porn) be prepared for that too.

I am not a regular on this forum which can by made obvious just by my forced title.
Though i am in fact, A very big car enthusiast and it pains me to see when someones hard work is mocked or called fake. In reference to the van above, the one a majority of you seem to think is photo shopped. It is in fact not. The creator of that car participates in more then one type of style. Some "Itasha" but more then anything he partakes in a style we call "Bosozuko". Most of the boso's enjoy the idea of stretching and exaggerating their imagination by projecting such extremes onto their cars. Mostly done on Scion's and Mini Vans, any car can be modified to fit "Bosozuko's" extreme retro style. Remember many different people have different tastes in art. Art is resistance. One Love, It has been a pleasure. ~Ghasty |

Although the wings are real, an untrained eye would accept the stickers as real. End of argument. http://ekhatch.wordpress.com/tag/bosozuko/

It's a Lamborghini, who's going to question it?
The logo covers her right side, and that black ribbon probably covers just enough of the other to pass censorship requirements.

Amazing, that guy must have balls to do this . Some supercar purists would be screaming foul about ruining the paintjob, but the owner of that machine knows what he's doing, and to profess his love.
