Kamachi's Odins are cruel beings Waltraute's not going to be happy over this.
I'm still chuckling how even in a Norse mythical fantasy Kamachi can still make the his characters talk about logic and science, like "If you climb the Yggdrasil further upwards, there'll be less oxygen for you to breathe in, and you'll die once you reach the heavens - that is, space." Not to mention Waltraute's "Valkyrie wings" are basically jet packs.

If there's one thing Kamachi does better than his sci-fi/fantasy mix-up, is his epic tsukkomi exchange between characters

All of this reminds me of the conversation I had with my friend recently about potentially going to go see an opera. The Canadian Opera Company is doing Il Trovatore soon, and he wants to go to that, but on the topic of other operas or even going to see the symphony.. He is less enthusiastic.
He also has a theory that, that critic or not, there has yet to be a human being that has sat down and watched the entirety of the "Ring Cycle" (Der Ring des Nibelungen) all at once. |
