Um, it depends on the drawing. The Kirara drawing only took me about 2 hours. It all varies though. ^^

I need to start using a smaller brush, I don't like the thickness of some of the lines. :/

Anyway, this is just a request of an original character from someone on DeviantArt with little Ammy. Things I need to stay away from drawing in the future: boys, stripes, feet, etc.

The coloring here is rather interesting... some parts of it seem embossed. I'm not sure what could cause it - line thickness? Too much different between the light and dark areas? I think it's rather pleasing, but since I've never seen such an effect before I just thought I'd mention it.

Embossed? Hmm, it's probably because of the line thickness or the much brighter highlights I used. Either way, I'm glad you like it. I'm using requests to try and find a coloring style I like more. So far, I'm not getting anywhere.

I don't recommend using a big brush for anything small and/or detailed. It's just makes it harder to get the small bits right. At the same time, you could also combine a 2x brush for the smaller details and a 3x/4x brush for the bigger areas.

I originally didn't want to do colored lines at all since I think I fail at colors. I agree with the skin outline color. I got so irritated in trying to find a decent color for it; it ended being the color it is now or the color I used for the shirt. I just got lazy at the end at didn't re-color the lines of the shirt.

The face does have shadows, but I blended it in a little too much so it's really subtle now.

Yes. I know that from now on. ^^ I'm drawing on a much larger scale and reducing the size of my drawings more than half so I didn't figure that the line thickness would bug me as much as it did.

Learning from mistakes is fun~ xD

You should have separate the stripes from the body and the arm.. it will make it less 2Dish

oh don't punish urself so hard! Did you know? legs and hands are the most difficult parts to draw in any drawing so it's alright! and the truth is that i loved the pick of colors!

The feet behinds the tail kinda not complete tho

I better not say a word about the wings.. still, its fixable

Buts its a good picture overall especially the shadow and highlight works

Yup, I know that all too well. I didn't realize animal feet are just as difficult. xD
