This concludes the Kugimiya part of this year's tournament, stay tuned for next year the Kugimiya Testimonial year. With most of her characters eligible in one way or another it should prove to be 'interesting' to say the least.
As for today's victor well look out Miss Takamachi there is a new Devil in the skies! Well done Frau Hartmann and some good luck to you as you face the winner of today's tussle. Will magica do what magica do, or will the GothLoli be just too cute!?

Lotte had more fakes than I expected. Hoping she doesn't become a sniper for Madoka if Ruri manages to win her match against Kyouko.
My support goes to Ruri, but will also support Kyouko if she reaches the finals. No prediction. Don't want to jinx either challenger.

Looks like Lotte starved herself too much and ended up weak. Regardless Erica isn't going to fare well vs the winner of Kyoko-Kuroneko. Both are pretty moe but Kyoko has the additional attribute of being Gar (though less than Homura). Will be an interesting match.

i'm honestly torn whom to side. i like ruri more than kyoko. but my brain tells me to cheer for kyoko instead since if kuroneko pulls a win in here, there'd be a very high possibility that she might take down the other pmmm girls. DX
man, this is hard: pick: either prediction: either lol |

Spoiler for That was... expected actualy:
I knew Erica was leading the whole time, the slope after the initial fakery was the dead giveaway. Guessing Kyouko. PMMM is the only series the voters really care about this year.

i'm still baffled where did lotte's 400+ go? i mean, the other half of her votes? her followers seemed to have abandoned her. maybe they decided to support just ruri and ika..uggh, i fear for mami-san's head.
oh well, on with the match. this is gonna be a bumpy ride.XD |

I think that a lot of voters were out to punish the guy who cheated Homura out of a first round victory, and that meant taking down Biri Biri which just happened to help out Lotte. I initially thought that Lotte just received a "Last KugRie girl standing" bump, but it now looks more like a lot of people voted for Lotte simply as a means to avenge Homura's defeat.

Another (highly unlikely) alternative to that would be the two of them having an overlapping support base. If so, it could also explain why one of them lost steam while the other kept her numbers, because the voters who fall under the overlap then simply decided to ditch one girl for the other.

If Kyouko wins, my desire to see Sayaka win goes up even higher.
Kyouko vs. Sayaka would be such a sweet Saimoe 2011 final. So, so fitting on so many levels. A rematch of an actual in-anime fight. A fight between two halves of a popular yuri pairing.

Early tallies are not infusing me with enough confidence to call it a 'straight' result yet [fakes? A real possibility?]. Unless the rush is on 'real early' a la Tom Jefferson's axiom of 'Vote Early and Vote Often".

Sayaka has the toughest road ahead of her going to the finals. Although she and Kyoko would make the finals so sweet, I'd really be happy to see Sayaka win it all.
In before someone plays "And I'm Home" as the theme for such a finals pairing. |
