Last novel had numbers 1,2 and 3 on the front and this one has numbers 4 and 5?

That probably means something.

Misaki.... probably knew Touma. That was what railgun manga hinted on it so I was waiting for Misaki and Touma's meeting.

Touma for the past 22+ volumes + another 6 NT volumes and lots of SS. Hasn't encountered much problem pertaining his past acquaintance before his memory lost.

His classmates didn't even notice it or his parents. Index an Mikoto probably won't too if they didn't find out.

But what about Touma' close acquaintance?

Tsuchimikado only appear in vol 4 and become a close friend already of Touma but he is not in the past before memory lost.

The only people he mention back then is Aogami and a certain mind controller in tokiwadai. He didn't mention Aogami and Tsuchimikado.

Really a mystery and it take that looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong for her to be mention.

There's also the case of Kumokawa Seria : she seemed to know Touma, even before his memory loss (including his Imagine Breaker, and all his action since the first volume (thanks to her intelligence or her relation with the board of directors)).
Moreover, she was depressed when she heard that Touma died during WW3... so maybe they more than just "friends", if you know what I mean.

Well, I'm waiting for their meeting, it could be fun !

A lot of these 'seem to know' are circumstantial at best, don't be disappointed if it's a red herring in the end.

I wouldn't say hinted. All we know is that she knew about him beforehand, but that doesn't mean they knew each other, I hope I'm not being confusing.

Tsuchimikado's name was only mentioned once and that's when Touma thought of his neighbor being drunk.

Though from vol 4 interaction of Tsuchimikado and Kamijo. They might be acquaintance but the level interaction is unknown but maybe they are pals.

They are labeled as the delta trio.

The little interaction she had with Touma in that chapter gave us no solid proof of her connection to him (aside from trolling with Misaka)... and in V1 of the LN Touma, pre-memory lost, did mention her in a way or two but it looks like more of he knew her ability but not really the ability user...
And Touma is rather infamous after defeating Accelerator...
Though it would be nice if the two had some unknown past like that of Kumokawa...

It's more than likely Misaki had just heard of him, its around this time rumors about him has spread in the dark side.

If she was interested in the sisters, she couldn't have not know him.
