Another update: Vol 2 Chp 4 is complete. Entire vol to be completed ETA 24 hours.

Volume 4 chapter 4 finished, after 20022 mins, 333.7 hours, 14 days and 1/2 month after I started. 7 days used for the translation, average of 8.325k per day. Largest update: 12,756k. Smallest: 0b. Total of 58.273k on the completion day, unedited.

Honestly, I would prefer that you finish up volume 4, but that's just me. Just give me a heads-up, since it's you and me right now (Kuroi took his talents to the South Beach (for now)

Vol 4 to me seems the most interesting, sadly not all of it will be animated, at least for now.

It's still up to you though.

BTW, guys, I want to ask, do you take in importance the original Japanese SFX and the structire? If not, then I won't cross-check from the Japanese version and directly go Chinese-->English.

I'm not altogether sure--I've seen subs of Japanese-->Cantonese-->English, and the results are...interesting, to say the least. :/

Fansubs are mostly more close to the original than the official versions. The Chinese versions I provided Kira are pretty accurate.

EDIT: And besides, there's plenty of editors and proofreaders out there, unlike Index...

Yeah, it uses a richier vocabulary than my previous one. And it's not some kanji-inserting versions.

A pretty good tag team right? I translate baka to test while you translate IS and index, and I'll translate IS while you translate baka to test

of course, difference of translating speed is a concern with me translating like a turtle while you translate like a jet

Here's a new crackpot theory from me after having a couple of drinks (VODKA!) Friday night.

* Chifuyu was a member of the Phantom Task organization long before the series started and probbaly even before the first IS was developed.

* Phantom Task being a feminist extremist group helped fund IS development in the shadows, possibly cloned Chifuyu--making one male and one female--eg the female having the 'ideal' traits, while the male was 'waste material' (Y chromosome, undesirable traits).

* Problem: Chifuyu grows attached to the male--who will eventually become Ichika, and leaves the orgnaization, with Tabane's help?

* Can also explain why Chifuyu doesn't like the idea of losing her little brother to one of the girls.

* The development of IS is probbaly more tied into Chifuyu's persoanl history than originally thought. Note that Chifuyu is capable of wielding an IS sword without actually wearing an IS (or is she)?

* Can also explain why Phantom Task has not directly tried to attack Chifuyu but rather tried to get to her via Ichika--possibility they want Chifuyu unharmed? It seems only Madoka Orimura wants her dead, at least.
