That could be true to I mean this town always has something going on and the villians always seem to turn up there. But whats the trigger? If the town is constantly bombarded by spirit particles that means everyone has the potential to develop powers but what is the catalyst to make such powers manifest. My guess is it might be different from person to person and the amount of reistu they have absorbed

The catalist is probably everything put together. The events that happend, the way they got exposed, their own wills. And Ichigo also might have somewhat of an effect on them. Why else would Aizen else be so interested in him? (if that was already explained in the manga, then pardon me since I don't read it)

Yepp, they were out to kill him because he could pose a potential threat. I think that "This guy is trash, we don't care about him" was just an act for Ulquiorra to seem tough and get out of there, while the main reason was because he saw he was overpowered

Urmmm....
My theory on what Urahara's Bankai is that it grows stronger on blood or something. You know, 'cause when we first see his blood mist shield, it had blood on it, which probably came from him. But maybe his bankai grows stronger on his enemy's blood? That would explain why he can't train Sado... And Ichigo had the potential to become even stronger than Ulquiorra, he said so himself while calling him trash. |

"Officially" Ulquiorra is supposed to tell the rest he is checking Ichigo out. Obviously Aizen have been around long enough and smart enough to know who is more worthy of fighting. Why Aizen doesnt want to kill Ichigo like an ant he was at this moment though is probably a plot device. Main Characters are not suppose to die. |

It obvious that Urahara and Yoruichi both know more than what they are disclosing. Granted Chad went to Urahara to ask for training, but in the last episode Yoruichi found Orihime and asked her to come with her. My opinion is that Aizen is sizing Ichigo up. 1 possiblity could be see if hes worth using later he makes an offer join me or if he doesnt he will try to have him killed. Makes sense if you can convert the strongest warrior or a warrior with great potential to your side why kill him if he refuses or gets to dangerous you can always kill him later. Many a ruler have adopted this in the past and it works more time than one might think. But after all this is Shonen and certain critiria must be met
