To tell the truth, I've always imagined Kazuya Nakai (Zoro, Mugen) for Dante's first seiyuu.

He was the first one (I'm not hugely familiar with Japanese seiyuu though) that came to my mind too.

Nope. But like I said, the other roles I've seen from him make me think of him as a better Vergil than Dante.

Anyone see the new trailer for this?! Wow, it looks great! Reminds me of what I see from Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and Devilman...well they're all Madhouse, after all...

And the seiyuu's...WHOO! We got:

Toshiyuki Morikawa as Dante
Atsuko Tanaka as Trish
Fumiko Orikasa as Lady
Akio Ohtsuka as Morrison

I think their voices fit their respective characters quite well, especially Toshiyuki Morikawa (Sephiroth from FFVII: AC) and Atsuko Tanaka (Major Kusanagi from GitS). Can't wait to see.

I don't see Vergil anywhere in the credits. I don't mind an original story however, this series fails for me if it does not have Vergil.

Vergil's dead.

And even if the franchise's going to revive him in the future or something, it won't be in an anime.

Flashback perhaps? Is this taking place during the events between DMC3 and DMC1? So far the story looks like it has nothing to do with the game's chronology so I don't see why they can't fit in Vergil. And if it does take place between DMC3 and DMC1 maybe

I'm not really a Vergil fanboy, but I think he is the series best character and is certainly just as badass as Dante. The DMC series never had much story to begin with but its best moments were when the brothers are fighting.
