He said as much a while back, but his reputation made it hard to believe:
Gen talking about the end of Madoka.

Okay, QB may not have had the emotions to care, but he would surely have the free will (and most definitely the intelligence) to realize that:
1) The wish Madoka gave would throw a HUGE wrench into the way his "company" is ran. 2) He could always just say "no, I refuse to grant you that wish." He's most certainly not a Genie bound by any Cosmic Geass to obey what he and his entire reace perceives as mere puppets and an inferior race. And until the wish is uttered he was most defintely her superior in temporal power. So why the heck couldn't he just have said "No, Missy, I'm not giving you your wish" as opposed to say "Oh crap, there goes my job... Sigh your wish is granted"

^ Well Kyubey did say he is bound by certain rules when making a contract, and although he's never said it, it seems one of the rules is when the contract is made, he cannot refuse it, no matter what the wish is.

It's patently obvious that once a contract is made, and a wish is given, Kyubey *has* to honor the wish. The only possibly exception I can see is maybe he gets a basic self-defense exception if someone wishes him and/or his race out of existence. If Kyubey has the option to refuse a wish once a contract is made, then he should have refused Madoka's wish for obvious reasons. But he didn't, so the only logical deduction that can be made from this, imo, is that he simply does not retain that option once a contract is made.

It's true he does *have to* honor the wish, but that's doesn't mean it will be granted as for example had anyone aside from Madoka, or someone similar potential as a magical girl tried to make the wish Madoka made then it would have failed be granted, which is the other limit placed on Kyubey the power of the wish is somewhat limited by the girl's potential.

How powerful is Madoka's wish anyway?
From what I can see, if it really apply to all time and space, the anime industry need to change where a huge number of anime need to be reanimated. LOL For example, Code Geass without geass and CC. The whole event in Unimeko will not happen in such a way. Touhou without Kirisame Marisa. Soul Eater will lost half of it story. Strike Witches will be Strike Magical Girls and more. |

I found this interesting article on Sankaku Complex about the delay of ep.11/12. Turns out it was self-censorship after all.
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2011/0...was-cancelled/ Images look very legit. And Homura's crushed foot

I will let everyone know. In 2ch, there was storm going on due to the fact that synopsis of spin-off comics - Mahou Shoujo Oriko Magica is revealed. It has big chance that it deals with the world after Madoka's rule reset.
http://animapple.blogspot.com/2011/0...-finished.html I will just copy the parts that I translated from the synopsis. Quote:
