DJ_Rockman: Ummm. I don't think you'd have to give Asakura a sinister look. I don't think she's really programmed to do it. Anyway, I just can't see that kind of look on his face. (Blah the pronouns are killing me) In Cannon, when Asakura tried to kill Kyon, she really didn't have a sinister look. It looked more like determination than sinister. Plus, she is more than happy to kill Kyon to complete her goals. She's not evil... I think. |

(A SIN!) Consider it an application of human traits he's learned over the course of interacting with other guys in the class. And it gives Kyon-chan some time to think of something witty to say about how the first guy to flirt with her will be her last.

Lacking emotions, Asakura is capable of acting human but is unable to be human in her thoughts and motives. Killing Kyon was a merely a means to the end for her, as she was supposed to observe the data bursts from Haruhi, and killing Kyon would have, might have, greatly facilitated that. So no... she's not evil, just inhuman. Cheers.

Well we don't want to give away Asakura's identity too early. Which may happen if he is introduced in the shadows here. The entire journey back to Kyonko's place with Yuuki could be done mostly in Kyonko's mind like a internal monologue thinking about what happened and possible feeling of Yuuki?

And I actually believe the Asakuras to hold more potential for evolution in the human interaction department than the Nagatos on the sheer fact that they actually interacted with people. The Kyons merely had a greater impact on the Nagatos than normal humans did on the Asakuras, but that could also be attributed to the amount of time and interaction they've had together. Quote:

If dkellis could periodically post what's been written already, that'd be really helpful. |

Where you at Kaisos? And dkellis, if you could fulfill Kaisos's request to periodically bring up a compilation of rewrites so far, I could also modify the first post for easier access later.

I'm also hoping for Kyon-chan's little brother to answer the door since it's late at night, allowing him to make some snarky comments about her returning home with a guy.

Well I remember parts in the novel where Yuki sensed Kyon's emotions for a short bit and acted in response to those. So in my mind Yuuki responding to Kyon's uneasiness made some sense although having Kyonko-Ototo open the door would be quite the spectacle.
