I think they should do both! make the final season 3 ending just like the series, and then later rebuild the series into movies just as Evangelion did! As much as I love Eva,.. this series is my NEW #1 ANIME, and it can make so much profits by giving fans what they want.

June 25 is the release date for episode 3 but its Overture instead of Zoetrope.

So which one is gonna be left out? Zoetrope or Ceremony? I hope it's Ceremony because Zoetrope has more story material, but I also have doubts that Zoetrope will get the axe because its story can't just be compressed into a 20-odd minute episode.

oh so next month.... oh wait so what's overture about? and do you think they're working on maybe a Shakugan no Shana 2nd movie??? I recently saw the first one and it seems like they could really grab more peoples attention. What do you guys think?

All I know is Overture is a story in novel 0 and takes place before Shana met Yuji.

I don't think there working on a 2nd movie more likely working on season 3.

If there is a second movie, it would go AFTER the second season of Toaru Majutsu no Index AND Toaru Kagaku no Railgun.

Oh and does anyone know when the last of the Shakugan no Shana S is suppose to come out? I figure i ask now cause i got the date wrong for the 3rd episode.

It was originally supposed to come out in August, but may get pushed to September (just like volume 3 got pushed to June).

This might be some useless info but after doing a little digging, I found a post from a Japanese fan saying that the illustration on the back of the limited first press box for S OVA's is actually from "Overture". Click below to look, looks like it was planned many months ago and was a clue to what would be animated since the post was made way back when "Reshuffle" was released back in October.

I guess you can tell with what Shana's wearing but I have to wonder if the picture of the girl at the back is also the one that Shana also took over her existence.

That's Junko Oogami, the first "victim" of Shana's ability to override a person's existence.
Well, not really a victim, because she has been completely consumed as a Torch anyway.

It's not clear that Junko is the first Torch Shana overrode and assumes the identity.

It mentions that the cover art for volume 4 will be connected to Overture's cover art to form one whole image which is rather interesting.

The third OVA is "オーバーチュア　前編", which means "Overture (the first part)".
That means Overture is separated into 2 parts and the fourth should be the second/final part.

No Ceremony. No Zoetrope. Just Overture.

I disagree with you there, I enjoyed the series much, much more than I enjoyed the movies.
