Actually, I kinda like the headphones idea as well. It's looked good in the fanart I've seen with it, at least.

The problem with that is that we never could come to a clear consensus on it.

And the hairband is never mentioned in the originals either. It's something Noizi Ito just made up for the artwork, methinks.
