Yeah, much weaker. The power gap is even bigger now that the Iwaki has been improved.

As for the nuclear fallout, the resulting explosion wasn't as big since the drone didn't have a fission warhead launcher on its back like the ones towards the end of Athena Bouclier so the pilot is pretty much safe.

And hell yeah! Name/Faceless ace pilots ahoy!

Indeed, since ByakuShiki Mk.II has fusion BACKPACK of all things... used to improve the propulsion system by superheating the gas, as well as increasing 12% power output via direct MHD system.

Where the plane landed again? if it's in I.S.A. territory I guess the security team will quickly react and suppress the commotion.

Aye, I did. But do keep in mind how small a Praxidike drone is, their fission reactors are pretty small so them blowing up is pretty much the same as maybe... half a full tanker blowing up?

Not to mention when Inami threw a couple of Replica Drones into the Gospel's energy beam during Athena Bouclier, he was fairly close to them when they go boom, yet he hardly flinches from the explosion.

That badass pilot ejected much further when he crashes the plane into the drone. The worst case scenario for him is maybe one or two sharpnels from the wreckage hitting him.

Just for extra information for you to keep, it's not the matter of explosion, fission reactor do not explode, it melts and spreading the radioactive material that can hold up in the ground for several decades, up to 70 thousand years, even if the affected area is relative small (a whole block).

Otherwise, try to make it subtle. Just let the reader recite MST3K mantra.

@ Demino please correct me because you're better when it comes to RL physic.

Yes they do, and once again, while ineffective, they can make it so that the plane is damaged by accident (everyone knew the truth but only hardass reporter will scream about it... and silenced

)

Still, his mask is still on when he punched out. It should protect him to some extent...

And I think I might add maybe one or two more "Nameless Ace" moments throughout Athena Sabre. (Nameless Ace Uchigane pilot!)
