I really loved how they made the character "Mugi"
because as Far as I know in anime... characters like Mugi are the boring ones...... while characters like Ritsu and Yui are the enjoyable ones.... But in K- on.., Mugi is quite enjoyable too

Mugi pretty much breaks the whole 'boring rich girl' mold as it is.

While most rich girls prefer to lay back and have all the work done for them, Mugi does the exact opposite – she's active, disapproves of when she gets things done for her and even wants to work for her money, despite her having plenty of it available to her at any time.

She'd make a great wife and mother some day.

This was a hilarious episode. I was caught by the trick at the beginning too. My ears are horrid at distinguishing Japanese voices apart except for maybe one or two. I liked the part with the cow statue, very funny, and thanks to the forum I can understand the tag they wrote on too. Some how I excepted Yui to get accosted by deer like Tsukasa, sadly it didn't happen, And of course the the random words, scene and pillow fight were the highlights.

Although predictable that there would be a field trip episode, I really enjoyed this episode alot. I never thought that field trips in Anime would be more entertaining than the ones in real life... and yes, I did laugh my butt off this episode because of the stuff from Ritsu and Yui...

I have one trivial question. What is the second thing Ritsu randomly says after Mio turns off the light? CG has translated as "lycopene", Frostii "flick". From what I can hear, it is "RIKOPI-N", which I suppose means "lycopene". So why the big difference?

My guess is that Frostii interpreted as some sort of pun and that they tried making it work in the translation.

Nope. In the patriarchal context, the dominant member will be the husband, and the submissive will be the wife.

Mugi is the husband, not the wife.
