Personally, i think Shanks will have a fight with luffy to gauge his strength before recognising him. So far, Shank's crew haven show any true fighting power, though they still look so damn weak. Who knows, maybe lots of them consume devil fruits, i mean, crew can't be that weak compared to shanks who can take a blow from whitebeard and make others unconcious with just his will.

i think there mayb a fight of sum sorts of luffy vs shanks, but it would b more like a test of strength rather then fight to the death.

even though BB gave shanks those scars we dont know what shanks did in return to him, he may hav had just enough strength to scar him and survive just like how coby was able to "hit" luffy hard enough for luffy to notice, BUT if it was a close match between the two then BB would probably b able to beat down shanks given his new DF ability

i just cant wait to see a fight between BB and luffy

Possible.The ones who had importance as main character in Nami and Choppers past, were Bellemere and Hiluluk, Theyre both dead..I dont know I never was a big fan of Ace anyway, still dont forget that piece of paper Ace gave to Luffy, he attached it to straw hat and its still there..

You guys forget that we have only been introduced to 1 of the Shichibukai so far in the anime. And I personally think that if Shanks still hasn't gotten One Piece then there are loads of other stronger pirates. The One Piece world is so big that not even Whitebeard is the strongest man in the world. The New World probably has more stronger people than Whitebeard. Not to mention, we don't know much about the world government either (if CP9 was so strong, imagine their other groups and the leader himself).

Guys it was said already that shanks gave his hat to luffy in a promise to return it too him a great pirate. And knowing luffy the only way hes gonna show that is by fighting him. itll be a serious battle but not one between enemies. like goku and vegeta. plus luffy said hes goin to gather a crew stronger than shanks's how else will he prove his crew is stronger

imo finding one piece does not depend on strenght alone.

imo it think that one piece is related to the polygryphs. i think that is why being a pirate is really illegal, world government don't want peole findng one piece which might reveal world's governmet's true pasts

Yes I think so too. Shanks gave the motive to Lufyy. They're not enemies, they're friends. I beleive that they will meet in the New World.
