I want to start translating Japanese web-novel

Translating web-novel to motivate JLPT study; so are there any recommendations? I use rikaikun on chrome to read; able to handle average difficulty level.

Prefer shonen-type with powerful MC.

Curently enjoying:
1. Isekai Meikyou de Harem wo
2. The New Gate
3. Tate Yuusha no Niriagari
4. Re: Monster
5. Overlord
6. LMS (I dont know korean so read translation)
7. Ark

So please recommend any similar Japanese web-novel that has yet been translated. Thank you.

Tate Yuusha is already being translated in hyperfast pace so unless you want to join the team I suggest not. Other than that, just do the novel you like best.

and you like Isekai Meikyuu? Damn that series is disappointing, for something that focus on conquering dungeons, the dungeons themselves are fucking boring

I'd suggest a novel that's gaining popularity like "Netgame no Yome wa Onna no ko ja nai to Omotta?" or one that's been dropped or slow as hell like "Kor wa Zombie, Desu ka?" since most of the ones you mentioned are already being translated. You can try and join a team like I did when I first started to translate just mail them and they'll test you out.

1. Isekai Meikyou de Harem wo- is currently being translated.
2. The New Gate-being translated.
3. Tate Yuusha no Niriagari-being translated and since the story is over it's almost done.
4. Re: Monster-being translated.
5. Overlord-being translated.
6. LMS (I dont know korean so read translation)- dunno about this one.

Overlord current get do is lightnovel , he ask about web-novel, IIR currently no one do web-novel of overlord . It welcome though , because the web-novel and lightnovel go difference ways , some reader prefer web-novel version over lightnovel.

The LMS is limited to vol 20 or 21 , it's the author allowed . So i don't think we should get pass that line . That's why it stop at vol 20-21 .

No real difference imo, the raws can be found relatively easy anywhere shit I got them all myself. With LN's the cut out most of the bullshit rpg porn too and the stories flow better but then again WN's have their charm too.

You have the raws? in .doc/.txt? He said he's using Rikai-chan, so the text must be able to be copied and pasted, not pdf or images

He's going to use rikai which mean he need it in text copyable format. Good luck providing the raw for that. Also The New Gate isn't being translated anymore by briollaire.

Didn't the guy doing new gate drop it cause as far as i remember its been sitting at like 3 chapters for its light novel since November.

Why not continue with the translation of Isekai Mahou wa Okureteru!/ The Different World Magic is too Behind! dropped by Prozess? I think it's really interesting.

That one was commented by Prozess himself as too hard to translate when it come to detail, so i suggest not....

@Mj31382: Can you tell me which level of JPLT you are at ??? we might be able to give a better range.

you could try World Teacher..... though I only just skimmed through 2~3 chs of eng tl, it was painful to read.

seeing the raws of those chs myself.... it shouldn't of been that hard.

Currently at JLPT4 (new system). Planning to take JLPT2 end of this year.

Overlord is being translated by Flying Squirrel Overlords (v.3 c.1c). My plan is to pick dropped/hiatus/untranslated web-novel (preferable to source from http://syosetu.com/).

Also a good one Le Festin de Vampire (I know the MC is a only a former guy and now a girl but it semed interessting) [Was dropped by an other translator because of his rl]

Isekai Mahou wa Okureteru!/ The Different World Magic is too Behind! is also Interessting and worth considering (I know that it was already mentioned)

Totsuzen Kishi ni Natte Mufufu na Ore ga Iru should be also interessting (from the looks of the Novel Ilustration) but don´t know if there is a webnovel for it (LN has about 6 Volumes right now (I think))

I also agree with Setsuna on Isekai Mahou wa Okureteru but another web novel you may be interested in is 神器を統べる若神様/Jingi wo Suberu Wakagamisama. As far as I can tell no one has touched it yet, not sure why as the story seems pretty interesting, if you like OP mc & harem that is xD.

suggest you tried N3 before 2, the level gap is quite ridiculous

well, N4 is a little low, but assuming you are at N2 at the end of this year, then you should be about N3 right now, which there shouldn't be many novels you can't tank. I suggest trying out 帰ってきてもファンタジー！？, the New Gate since there are no translator at the moment, avoid Isekai Mahou wa Okureteru! and Knight and Magic's type of novels due to their Jargon and references, personally i suggest 帰ってきてもファンタジー！？, there is not much technical details there and the Japanese level is quite reasonable.
