Spoiler for ARIA the SCARLET AMMO 11 - That Girl, Maybe...:

Operation Crash Vlad's Place was underway. Sayonaki has looked suspicious since the start of the show. Strange that he's there. Nobody has glasses and hair like that and means anything good. Kinji's ceiling-descending impossible mission was pretty cool, and the rosary thing went off without a hitch. But this is one episode out of two, so this review shall really only be half of one as well.

Spoiler for ARIA the SCARLET AMMO 12 - That Rosary and that Vampire...:

I don't really associate the name Vlad with werewolves. But it's still in the same universal group of monsters. It's also probably the most supernatural element we've had so far in this show (and I'm saying this directly after the arc that featured fire and ice mages swordfighting). Not a bad finale - the action was nice, and we did get a complete character arc out of it. Not for the title character (that can be saved for the theoretical second season), but for Riko. She came to realize that she can forge out her own identity, and has been doing so all along. I'll wait for the subs, but I think the idea that's been brewing can finally get started. That's not really relevant to this thread, though.

I may know almost nothing about guns, but I can still appreciate a nice shootout when I see one. I like the idea of Hysteria Mode too.

But what was that, Its good about the billiard shot and all but it didnt fell right.
Vlad didnt defend at all, he just went mindlessly in the novel he was cunning, they also didnt explain just why exactly did he go after Histerya Mode and how did he know how to disable HM, and about the part of him that is a Sado and how did he need the genes of the Tohyama.

Damn there are a lot of things that I dont like, like the fact that he entered HM the second time thanks to Aria and not Riko like in the Novel.

But there was a good fanservice

Although the soundtrack was good. It was amazing. And I like the image of Vlad.

Also he didnt meet the Ghost. How could they make me hope for a cliffhanger.

Since they diverted a lot from the LN. there has been too many things that didn't make sense.
The billiard shot was okay but it didn't fell on me as well. Furthermore, Vlad looked like he self-destruct in the end lol.

In the LN, after they had hit all his weak spots, it destroys all his Demon's Entrails that resists all his vampire weakness. The antenna pole he's wielding squashed him when he lost his vampire strength.

Okay, so JC Staff ended it like that. Nice one. They avoided that cliffhanger in the LN that is tightly connected to the next arc and made it look like the case is closed. If they start the second season (if there'll be one) from the second half of Last Ammo of Volume 3 (ie, Riko sending that .swf file), it connects the plot from the last episode without problem.

That male teacher turning out to be Vlad was already expected by everyone. However, they added a twist in the novel because Sayonaki actually said dialogues that disproves the Sayonaki = Vlad theory before the transformation, yet he didn't lie one bit. Sadly, those details were not included in the anime.

Geez, a comedy till the very end, no?

The last boss turned out to be Meshijima (come to think of it, the director or someone of Yumekui Merry is working on this...) + DCS.

He gets defeated in one shot. (As for blocking, I think protecting the face is quite important even if that wasn't a person's "weak point". Wait, that means weak point...)
Aria: "You said it too late!" <-- No, you acted too late

Riko in general. "Hey, I betray you" --> "Hey, help me" --> Hey, that's his weakness, go for it" --> "Hey, let's leave Aria" --> "Hey, I'm so cool" --> "Hey, I'm your rival".
All in one episode.
But hey, you know, good for you! Since your IVs suck, no one will call you Ditto anymore and use you to breed for children! Not only that, but you will be released into the wild, never to be seen again.
But despite being stomped so hard, you don't seem to have any lasting wounds!

I know episode 12 was suppose to be serious there.

But I couldn't help cracking up when Vlad kept stomping on Riko and Kenji and Aria just stood there for 2-3minutes straight.

and also Vlad's evil laugh is terrible.

Hm, episode 12 proved to be surprisingly intense. Vlad didn't look quite like what I imagined though, I thought he'd look more human unlike the beast-man that we did get. Quite a cruel and ruthless villain, but that's what made him interesting.~

And for the anime-only watchers, the "ghost" from Shirayuki's prediction is indeed this woman named Kana. Whatever significance she has with Kinji is your guess to make for now I s'pose.

Is their any indication on what the bonus episode will cover? Or is it just going to be a plot-less extra episode?

I really liked the episode, but I had my "WTF is wrong with you face" on when Kinji and Aria stood there while Riko was being tortured, does someone being tortured really need to ask for help before someone does anything?

I want a second season, a lot of likeable characters in this anime despite the cliches

They explain in the novel why they couldnt move, Kinji couldnt move because of Histeria Mode because if there is a girl that is in a situation where she is taken hostage, and there is a possibility of the girl losing his life then he cannot move. Because Histeria will not take a step towards the uncertainity of a girl dying.
Aria cannot act as well because Riko is a witness in the case for his mother.

Sayonaki has close to none experience handling weapons which would be easy. But in the novel its said (I coudnt verify in the anime) he is wielding a very old weapon, that kind of weapon that you dont have the slight idea if its going to fire itself, plus two wolves and the approach of Vlad.

When he becomes Vlad, destroys that weapon like nothing and he says that if they move he will squash the head of Riko like a Tomato. This are things said in the Novel.

Huge fail of adaptation at the end, I don't understand why they needed to bring Aria for him to transform.

Riko in golden underwear was enough, what's the deal JC Staff? why you must always screw something at the end ? At this rate even a JCfanboy like me will have to criticize. Kana didn't even properly appeared.

Oh what you know I never gave much thought about Aria but in ep 11 @ about 14:30 Aria sat there with her hair in pigtails totally makes her alot cuter than her usual look.
It's almost enough to make her my favorite but not quite.

Other than that, not much on anything that was of interest expect maybe Riko, and Riko as Kana.

Ep 12 was "wtf?" like Cub-sama I could only faceplam at Kinji and Aria standing there like a brick wall when Riko is being tortured.
Jesus I know being at a stand off is to create some tension but this was just bad, bad on a epic level.

If a 2nd season gets the green light then very well, I'll check it out just for the sake of it and the possiblity of Kana showing up but dI doubt I can ever say this series was good, I think I'll settle for ok/meh.
