Hmm looks like my prediction wasn't too far off, originally predicted it to come out late july/early august. Quite surprised they are willing to put out a release date before Blizzard announced MoP's release date. But i guess 2 months is a short enough timeframe to avoid being hijacked by Blizz.

Should be interesting to see how Arenanet handle their marketing over the next 2 months and if Blizzard will drop the release date bomb on Arena.net.

Well I finally got a new rig and been working on setting it up to record some of the gameplay and etc. Just need to buy lots of munchies and make sure i got enough cigarette and coffee for the duration of BWE3. XD

i know beta is beta but here is an idea for anyone planning to play GW2 @ 2560x1440 on max settings

cpu: i5-2550k stock
gpu: gtx 460 768mb stock
open world FPS = 25 FPS average
open world events with lots of players around you = 18 FPS average
crowded city areas = 35 FPS average

fraps was used to keep track of FPS and GPU usuage was at 99% all the time

i also spoke to someone ingame who had a gtx 670 and while he had some really good fps @ 1920x1080p max settings, he kept mentioning there were some stuttering issues and drivers crashing on him.

i got the same CPU but using GTX 670. It's runs the game at max setting at 1080p easily. There are some graphic bugs but i think that's more on the game side.

Haven't had any crashes that's graphic related.

Hehe, I guess some of the folks thought they could move the ram seeing that it's levitated by some magic stone. I wasted a lot of money buying siege equipment only to have em blown up by the opponents cannon cause I didn't the know range. Kinda wish they gave us an indicator on the attack range before we plonk down the siege but I guess somethings just have to be learnt by experience.

Anyway, here's my two footage from BWE so far, I got WvW footage that needs editing before I can upload it but even then, the frame rate in WvW is pretty bad and the footage itself wasn't that great so I might scrap it.

I'm looking forward to playing this. Well, I've already played in the Beta Weekend events but I mean when the game releases soon. I'm not big into MMO's usually but this grabbed my attention and it's not like I have to pay a subscription is it? :P

Felt really restless recently..... 2 more weeks till the releases....

I'm probably gonna be quite casual players after the 1st weekend, got works and stuffs. But now still can't figure out which class i should play. Probably the 1st game when i couldn't decide on such decision before hand. Would like to try all of them with the exception of engineer...

Total opposite for me, actually. Class I want to play most is the engineer, but from the videos I've seen, it really seems you need to be exceptionally skilled to get the most out of that class, while other classes, such as Guardian seem a bit more forgiving.

12 days until early head start begins. Sucks I start college that coming Monday. Good thing I'll at least play early due to the head start. Gonna roll a Sylvari Warrior (maybe a Guardian, depends on what my guild prefers).

Well there's the what I will pick and what I want to pick.

What I will pick is a Human Ele for sure, that will be my main and most likely a norn warrior.
Anything else after that will require more thinking but I will be giving thief ago for sure.

For what I want to pick and very well may do so actually(I have my moments) it would be the silly notions of stuff like your 3 ft Asuran warrior or 8 ft tall norn thief

This is what I what I hate most about new games is finding out what type of toon to roll.
It can be hugely time consuming if your not careful or indecisive >_<

For now i limited my 1st choices down to Templar, Thief/Rogue, and Elementalists.... but Necromancer, Mesmer and Warrior may come to place too if i see some cool armour/weapons/videos.

Ranger is my 3rd rank option.
