AFAIK the mangaka is taking time of to deal with illness, but also to work on another project. Which sucks, because it was originally scheduled to end with volume 9 anyway

Nah, it's not the first maga to be put on hiatus. the mangak is probably just struggling on how to end it properly so is taking a time out. Look at Hunter x Hunter >.<

I'm just now reading volume 7, and it looks like there was a printing error in my copy. Roughly halfway through chapter 53 the last 4 pages of 51, all of chapter 52, and 53 are reprinted. At first I thought it was a flashback but instead it's just repeated pages. 53 does conclude during this second printing, so I don't think I missed anything, but the forums are oddly quiet about this error so I'm wondering if I just got lucky in the copy that RightStuf sent me or what.

Hmm, I don't think I had a reprint in my copy. Maybe you just got lucky/unlucky?

I hope the manga-ka restarts the manga soon, since vol.7 is the last one out, but the series hasn't ended yet... Then, we'd have to wait even longer for the new volume to be translated~
I really want to know who Yoshinori ends up with. It's also hard to predict, since the guy really flips and flops though chapters (though volumes tend to end with him with Minamo...)

Well, I was recently leafing through this series and I thought "Hey, I haven't seen an update about this in a long time". So I checked on wikipedia and such and saw that it's still on-going.

What exactly happened to this series anyway? I'm up to the USA release of volume 7, which should be up to date, more or less.

Went on hiatus for awhile I believe, author seems to be drawing chapters again, although I think theres only 7 or 8 chapters ahead of volume 7, so a volume 8 will probably be published in Japan in the coming months.

There is a group scanlating the raw chapters if you know where to look.

Seriously, this manga is fucking with me. On one hand it has one of the most delicate treatments of cross-dressing and teenage emotional subtleties I've ever seen; on the other hand it keeps this awful, awful, awfully painful love triangle going round and round and round and round. The main character represents everything about it: starting out likeable but a bit generic, then very quickly become alternately thoughtful and sensitive, and downright disturbing.

I'm going to wait until it finishes before jumping in. No more hiatus for me.
