Need more Mikoto, need more deepfrying Railgun
@ Kane, i suspect itīs mimic or something around the copycat style, would seem pretty reasonable, although space/time distortion and or disruptencies might be just as possible. This mangaīs so unexpectedly good, it just needs another 200 chapter and iīd be okay with it, though thisīll stay a lonely dream most likely |

@Kane: An illusion may be possible - perhaps it's something to do with bending light waves. It's basically the sort of visual illusion that Kuroko seems to be having trouble with - she did teleport behind him but in fact he was some distance behind her. Same thing with the needles she threw - he wasn't where he was. |

While I do like Mikoto more than Kuroko it was still a good chapter. A fun character in her own right and had a good start in owning the thugs. Last one is definitely going to pay for the cut hair. Once Kuroko can figure out just what the guy is doing she should have this in the bag. Just a question of what he's up to.
An illusion isn't a bad call with how a couple of attacks went. At first was thinking some sort of high speed movement. But its not like she completely loses track of him all the time. Should be in position after the teleport before he can respond. So something that'd throw off her perception and thus let him react to her position is probable.

I just read the whole series.
Is it to be assumed that the setting is in a slightly separate universe? Although the events are very similar, there are some things that aren't the same, like Misaka meeting Touma the first time. Ok nvm, the flashback aspect confused me. The bridge happened at a different encounter? Screw it, I can't figure it out myself. I love how Touma just keeps stringing her along. After fighting him so many times, you'd think she should have it figured out. I mean, it took others only 2-3 rounds (not even fights) to expose ways around the Imagine Breaker. Btw, Chapter 8, pg 12. Is that Stiyl on the bottom panel? XD (Nvm, someone already noticed that. It was pretty obvious) Last edited by BlueDo; 2009-01-21 at 05:06. |

Well from what I understand it's the only time Biri-biri managed to corner Touma.
Really the guy always runs away from her. What Touma is doing seems contridictory to Mikoto. He claims to be Level 0 yet able to beat her power without getting hurt. Touma is annoying but nobody tried to save her before. |

well iīd rather refer to it as level without a value on the scale espers a being measured. Basically if the Espers are considered being in a
letīs call it "H" interval where everything else that exists, is in the surrounding void which iīll name "G" for this example. The H interval starts at a given X value, where X is next to nothing, and has the next to limitless value Y. Toumaīd be unaffected by these and simply belong to the void around it, so it is not influenced by it, simply dispeling it. |

Though I don't have the chapter yet, apparently the latest chapter of the manga takes place on August 10th. So the new storyline will kick off 10 days before the start of vol 3, as the first time Touma ran into Mikoto after losing his memory was August 20th.
Also, the special edition of the blu-ray included a Railgun short story with the girls on an island. That's the second one they've published I think; the first being the one in the Appendix involving Uihara. |
