Well, no - because I don't think there's any part of "Wolverine" about which that's true.

Notwithstanding the arrival of the "Inaba Arc," and tensions between Inaba and Taichi, I think the sixth episode revealed a major insight into Iori, especially foreshadowing the unresolved problems concerning Iori's identity. I'm talking about the Taichi/Iori phone scene when Iori, after hanging up, tells herself to not screw this one up. She's obviously referring to her previous screw up in episode two when she nonchalantly explains to Yui that her parents are divorced and to club any intruders if any come when she's alone. Yui freaks out at her explanation.

We know that Iori has always been switching personalities to accomodate others around her. Starting with her multiple step-fathers, she continues to do so with the group and each of them individually. This is especially apparant with Taichi when she becomes very sober and philosophical (which she supposedly feels comfortable with) as opposed to her usual jubilation when surrounded by all four of them. During Yui's freak-out scene in episode two, Iori addresses Yui's concern with a personality she uses to communicate with all four of them instead of a more Yui-centric personality. As a result, Iori screws up.

I think this is what Iori is referring to when she doesn't want to screw up with Taichi. Having developed a Taichi-centric personality, she doesn't want to shake up what she thinks Taichi loves about her by accidentally introducing another personality during their conversations. The problem I see is that Taichi previously comments that Iori seems different around him, so I think that means Taichi likes the group-centric Iori better than Taichi-centric Iori. My speculation about Taichi might be unwarranted, but Iori definitely hasn't made much progress concerning her identity issues even with Taichi's intervention and "her" suicide.

Well, if you read most of the critics’ reviews of Wolverine, you’ll get the idea (more than this will be off-topic). If not, then take another example I already mentioned like Gundam SEED Destiny. There, you have an MC whose character development is good at the beginning only to fell short during the second half of the series. The opposite can also happen to Taichi from this series.

Oh god, Gundam Seed Destiny. Why did you have to remind me of that?
I dare say it's much easier to go from good to bad, than from bad to good.

You don't really need to be a ninja if the other guy took 5+ minutes to type

Guess I got distracted...

I call misdirection!

EDIT: Yeah, like misdirection (in tricks) is meant to last for 5 minutes either... Fail.

I have the same feeling in respect of Tari Tari (that is shorter than KC), but not for KC. I don't know, but from the start I got the feeling that Taichi would/will have some sort of deconstruction along the way (anf I keep having faith ). Simply we need to wait things to pile up for him, and they are, slowly they are. Aoki is a question mark instead, but I can forgive them for not expanding one character out of five, if they will go where I think/hope they are trying to go.

I was wondering too what Iori was referring to with that line. Your thought seems consistent and interesting. And it seems to point to a direction the show is or should go, for me. I mean, that would imply that Taichi is not helping at all Iori with her issues, but she is simply adapting a new personality to fit Taichi expectations. Secondly that means even that all the HS's "efforts" are pushing things in the wrong direction (apparently). At least for the main cast that so far is made up of Inaban, Taichi and Iori. Inaba seems that will crush soon on Taichi, i.e. she will let him down given the preview. Then eventually Taichi will know that his Iori version is not her true personality, but just another faked one, more or less.
With the two girls failing at him one after another I think Taichi will crack too. Or that what I'd like to see.

I think the one who will be the most troubled in this arc is Inaba.
Cause she is the type that restricts herself for example it is already apparent that She is in love with Taichi however she can't act because of the feelings Iori. So instead she will hide her feelings and support Iori instead.

i think that taichi is the most interesting in this arc. he is always hiding his true self in order to make others happy, but now he is forced to expose himself. for exemple: does he trully love iori or does he jst think that she need him more than anyone else?

Well, it's not off-topic, but I'm a bit surprised ANN only noticed this now. I pointed this out over a month ago. Oh well... at least now people will consider it confirmed.

Spoiler for Episode count breakdown per the official Website:

I thought it was going to be 5-4-4-4?

It would be interesting if they worked with that. Taichi's need to put others above himself means that he often has to ignore his own interests to please others. In a way, he was the best person to help Iori with her issue, which pretty much deals with finding yourself alongside being a well adapted individual. However, this need to take care of people can really backfire (like Inaba told him), especially if he mistakes it for something else.
