i didn't someone else replied before me i was just remembering how much i enjoyed this one.

That's bad, like really bad. I used to think that the outrage over the ending was simply due to fans of harem endings dissatisfied with the final pairing, but now that I know the details I can perfectly understand why people are pissed.
I remember reading that this series was supposed to be a battle LN before the author turned it into a romcom. Maybe if he stuck to the initial plan it would have been better.
