I think GONZO is doing a great job with this anime so far. After watching episode 3, I have loads of questions regarding the mysteries that surround our characters. There is more to them than meets the eye!

If there is one thing Gonzo is doing wrong though, it would be the character Coopa. So uhh, what's her role in this story? So far, I see none, and that's why I facepalm when its so obvious she's another loli just for the sake of having a loli.

That said, all other aspects of the show was done really well.

Her role... as far as I can see:

1. Loli character. People like cute loli characters. Banzai~~
2. To carry Melt's heavy luggage <--very important.

On the other hand, website updated characters and young Gilgamesh gets a profile along with old Gilgamesh.

Yeah I'm actually impressed with how Gonzo has done with this one. Sometimes they can bring out something horrible and sometimes they can do a pretty solid job.

Figure someone has to carry the luggage. So the thinking was it might as well be a loli.

Young Gilgamesh was probably a pretty cool guy. Going in there with his golden armour, nothing about to stop him. Of course for a series better to have a party for group dynamics.

Yeah I wasn't too sure about her at first with that ear-piercing intro but maybe she's more than meets the eye as well. Super Loli?

If you haven't figured it out, Coopa is the only other level-headed character besides Ahmey in the team, she keeps Melt in check - she's basically the other half of those two-man comedians gags that are very popular in Japanese standup comedy, that's where the comedy chemistry comes from. There's also the contrast of her being the youngest but the more mature of the lot. Also since Ahmey is the quiet one, Coopa takes the job of being the one dealing out the dialogue as well.

I get the part about the curse saving his life, since he didn't die from that stab. But what I don't get is why a curse would save someone, curses are supposed to be negative right? Also Gilgamesh was pretty damn strong in his youth that's for sure. Climbed the whole thing by himself and took down everything in his path, to rescue the girl. Also some interesting information concerning the background of Kaaya. Looks exactly like the girl being rescued back then. Guess the relation would explain it, but still quite something. Either way a very close connection to Gilgamesh. Guy even gave one of his swords to Jil. At least its an improvement over the sticks he's been fighting with. God that line "If you fear my stick then let the girl go, and surrender." He sure showed that slime who was boss. __________________ Anime-Evo

Still a decent amount of comedy, like Jil being an idiot and trying to talk to a slime. Overall, Jil acts like an idiot for the episode, but at least he did his job as a guardian and stop the monster. Melt... I feel like calling him the second idiot, but at least he's very powerful and an amusing guy, despite being one of those characters that flirt with girls by sight. Became my favorite character in this show. Coopa. nod Kawaii~~ loli~. Her voice sometimes hurt my ear a bit, but I'll live. Didn't really fight this episode. All I know is that she has immense strength, so maybe all she'll do is carry the luggage. (-_-) As expected of Gilgamesh. Didn't die after all. He even gave a sword of his (very heavy) to Jil. Preview: Melt gets poisoned. Onward, to the top! Three episodes in, and I have a good opinion of this show. This series really is surpassing my expectations ^^ The comedy is actually quite good. I loved the blob monster part... "Correcton! I have a stick!" "he's drowning..." Such moments are priceless when staring into the eyes of evil. Jil is also becoming less of a loser, for someone who has minimal brains, he has guts to make up for it at least. Coopa is VERY cute Melt made a classic first impression on me. The strong lazy guy who is a pervert...yet he fits the bill. In episode 1, he got knocked out while defending against an attack. In episode 2, he fainted from his head injury. And of course, in episode 3, he kind of drowned inside the slime. Usually it would be the mecha genre, but this is a surprise. I'm really loving Druaga... and just goes to show not to judge a show by its animator. And yeah, I really do think that Kaaya is most probably Gilgamesh's (great?) granddaughter or something. Her resemblance to Ki is striking, she has oodles of gold to spend, and the king just don't specifically call someone out of prison and give them a (major?) weapon from his arsenal. And here I thought Gil didn't get it on with Ki. It just so happens Ki died before him, as from this episode, it seems he's immortal (for now?). Probably hid his bloodline as well, in order to save them from such assassination attempts and make them focus on him, of which this episode proves is all for naught since he's unkillable afterall. __________________ Yes its YOU childhood friend - source of BERZERKER RAGE since forever Childhood Friend couple STATISTICS(spoilers abound though)

With enough time Druaga would have rebuilt the tower. The king probably put the hit on himself to break the curse. Since it didn't work, kaaya is going to have to clear out the tower and also kill the old king as well. Tough, if successful there would be no economy, no adventurers and no more king Lots of facepalm moments in ep3 Neeba had one, the bystanders to watching Jil get slimed [Do Slimes understand speech? Kaaya shakes head Ah, he's drowning ] and Coopa takes the rest with her decadent and pervert master. I can see now why Jil shield is so special and how useful a guardian can be. He drove that spike into the wall and held off a charging lizard. Now, how many here have noticed that the sequence of events are following Jil's dream in ep1? Oririn is in classic form here.
