I figured that it might be a good idea to revive this thread...(Fear the mighty necromancer!!) :P

Interesting to see that Merry had a loose organization of Nightmares at her command prior to her memory loss. Pretty interesting revelation there and it'll be interesting to see the other Nightmares who were under her command...given that Ren isn't lying. I'm not as easily convinced as Engi was...
He is probably telling the truth about not being one of Hercules's former minions but he can still be connected to the one pulling the strings. Well, it's just baseless suspicion from me at this point.

Ren's Nightmare transformation looked pretty neat...except for that button on his shoulder. That thing sticks out like a sore thumb...

Gotta love Engi's reaction to the fact that she learned that their Solid Snake tailing tactics failed...and poor Yui never gets any love. She just wants to be a senpai too.

I do agree that Ren is a little too good to be true. My guess is that Dream Fusion(

) is something the new villain gave to him.

The alliance of bros grows stronger, for the moment. And fusing with nightmares? Cliched, but so cool. Yumeji is right to be jealous. Just imagine if he could fuse with John

Anyway, Ren seems pretty cool for the time being, though it wasn't very nice to diss Yui like that. The poor girl just wants to be a big sister for someone...

Also, Engi's reaction to her "perfect disguise" failing was hilarious.

Another great chapter.

For what it is worth a few months is minor necromancy in my opinion. Now if it were a few years....

Anyhoo.

I also enjoyed the chapter but I have some questions (that is, I am suspicious) about the direction the narrative seems to be guiding us along. A little too... smooth in resolve, I guess?

We still know nothing about the new enemy or his connection to Yumeji or the other guy. Its normal to be suspicious, but just because the story didn't spend like five chapters building up the new guy doesn't mean things are going smoothly.

Chapter 68 :
Love Ren, Yumeji and Merry with hoodies.
It starts as a light chapter, but Yumeji`s suffering from his scar... That painful expression.
Still, Hiiragi`s asking Ren to be her nude model was lol. The best part... He was actually going for it.

Yumeji and Merry run into Hiiragi`s "four eyes". It`s always about donuts with Merry.
Kyou`s face is just getting creepier... Merry even instinctively tries to punch him.

It is amazing that the series has managed to keep things pretty safe for the most part, isn't it? And not to mention the great balance of screentime for the girls. Even Isana, who in any other series would've been pushed to the side, gets some really nice moments.

Hmm, favorite design? Pretty tough choice. I think I'll stay with Merry.

I just noticed that I missed two chapters-68 and 69 and read them immediately.

All I have to say is...Merry and the sheep baaing together is so cute, yet so fitting.
Part of me wishes that Merry did hit Shiragi since he seems to be acting like quite the asshole recently. Though, he's still a mystery...

More interesting is Yumeji's spasms. I guess it means that he is starting to act.

Seriously, though...Yumekui Merry needs a reboot anime...

Here's to my hopes that Yui and Engi also get a Dream Phase Union one day.

Ren did failed against it alone. "The author doesn`t even bother to named the nightmares anymore."
Maybe Kyou`s "it" wasn`t that nightmare.

I always thought that Kyou was after Yumeji. I can`t never forget that "I want you, Yumeji !"
I don`t know if Kyou is good, evil or just plain crazy.

Spoiler for Spoiler: Isana's reaction at Yumeji "taking responsability" was priceless, and so was Yumeji going full snake later on, as well as Engi's choice of camouflage On the more serious front, it looks like we're finally getting another nightmare/human combo, and it already looks to be an interesting one. Will they be independant or join the Alliance of Dream Bros? I certainly hope for the latter. On a different note, is Yui's classroom composed entirely of awesome girls? Because it sure looks that way. Does this mean Hiiragi sticks around? Because I'd LOVE that. Honestly, I want to show this manga to all fans of Strike The Blood so they can see what a show full of god tier girls is.

Spoiler for Spoiler: I do like we actually got to see the kind of stuff Anri likes to draw, which seems the fluffy fantasy setting (which I do like). Which apparently got dissed by the kids in her class for a bunch of self-insert characters and ninjas. Just a coincidence, I'm sure You know, shounen and fairy like fantasy CAN be combined, just look at letter bee. Granted, it gets really dark sometimes, but still. Oh, and Merry going baaa along the sheeps was hilarious and cute But nevermind that. I only have one thing to say about the last part of this chapter. Spoiler for Spoiler: SAVE ANRI!!! We don't need another example of this! This is too cruel!

This chapter seriously had my heart pumping all the way through, but in the end, hopes and dreams prevailed, and we actually got to see some really nice teamwork between our three heroes. If you were missing the action, this should calm down your thirst. It also seems Kyou's target is Yumeji, not the adorable sheep. Things could be getting serious from now on. P.S: Ragi with Ren's coat on is adorable!
