Judging from some of the small screenshots provided on that thread...

Spoiler for Episode 13:

1) This is going to have some rather hot Mikuru shots.

2) The artwork looks simply FANTASTIC.

3) No punches are being pulled. In fact, it looks like they're really going all out with Haruhi vs. Kyon in this episode.

4) It looks really intense in general. This is going to be a GREAT episode. I can already feel it!

Am I the only one who was disappointed with that scene? Seemed like both the bad and good portions were interrupted way too soon.

Even though I didn't understand what they were saying (), I have to say that this is the best episode thus far. I was really afraid that *the* scene was going to be censored since some people kept on saying it might, but I know if they did, it wouldn't have the impact that it did.

Great BGM through out from what I saw, really helped set an atmosphere that the novel just didn't do for me. Sadly I had to cut my viewing short since I have class, but I am definitely satisfied, to say the least, on how the episode turned out. Can't wait for the subs so I can finish up!

Epic episodes of the longer arcs seems to throw away the OP or ED for some reason...

They *did* include the spiked milk.

Relatively high amounts of plot and action in this episode. Haruhi didn't really abuse Mikuru physically though. She barely tapped her on the head.

And unfortunately, Haruhi doesn't have enough hair for a ponytail yet.

Even though *the* scene was brilliantly done, I did notice they toned down how

hard Haruhi was smacking the back of Mikuru's head. And she also had a sympathetic look on her face. In the novels, Haruhi was angry, and slamming on the back of poor Mikuru's head.

This episode was so incredibly awesome. Especially that scene. The music and the voice acting and the animation all just kicked ass. And Haruhi's almost-ponytail...it was so close. If only Kyon had walked into the clubroom thirty seconds later. But then again, surprised Haruhi was pretty cute, if you forget how she was being an abusive bitch just a while before.

The end of the episode frustrated me, because I don't want to wait another week just to see more Shamisen. That cat is the best ever.

I guess I'll have to watch it when I can. I'm hoping it doesn't looked too toned down. It loses its impact a bit if it doesn't look like Miruru was being abused.

And here we were worrying that they were going to tone down or even take out how Mikuru gets drunk.

The impression I got from the novel was that Haruhi was slapping Mikuru with her hand, not the megaphone...

EDIT: Johnbob: Haruhi doesn't have to do much to Mikuru for Kyon to feel that she's abusing her!
