From everything I've heard this is one of the most popular recent romcoms, so this doesn't surprise me in the slightest (I was looking to buy the Light Novels myself)

So.....it wouldn't be funny if the show totally botched the Russian considering it's a prominent premise from the title 🧐.

That's what I'm expecting considering my previous experience with series like This Italian Girl Has Become Such a Freeloader where the main heroine didn't resemble at all an Italian girl.
Not that it would prevent me from watching the series, thought.

Tentative, but many believed Uesaka Sumire is undisputed for this one (including me, yes).

They already settled on Sumire Uesaka, considering while not a native speaker she is a Russian major and pretty famous VA. Also, they rarely hire Jenya for any major roles. It is a miracle she got one in Akiba Maid Sensou this season.

Disappointing. I'm glad Jenya is still working. But some seiyuus need their big breaks.

Yeah, I think it's a no-brainer that Sumire Uesaka will get this role.

Although I've checked the manga and I could actually imagine Jenya voicing the character. She actually voiced a somewhat similar character in the past, although not in the anime - a motion comic (a voiced comic, VOMIC, whatever you want to call those). The character in question was an American and Jenya spoke English for the role, though. Sadly, the site that hosted those gone down long time ago, so I can't provide an example.

Yeah Sumire Uesaka was a given, and Masachika's seiyuu stays the same as well. The tricky thing about Roshidere is that Yuki is the people's champion, and Masha is no slouch herself. Should be an fun ride.

They still can hire Jenya to voice Masha. She does not have a seiyuu yet if I am not mistaken.
