So I was literally dead tired and late to the party again, but after some visually yummy Ganessa thanks to Dahak (thanks for the PM), I finally felt like watching Freezing again (I really didn't feel like watching it lol). As usual my thoughts are here, in my patented silliness. As usual, don't take me seriously there (it's a good read, honestly)
I will be sticking to my personal nickname for Chiffon, "Cake Girl", and it seems here Freezing is getting mixed reactions. I'll say, just what is the budget of this series? Coming off a Fall season in Hyakka Ryoran, which was uniquely animated and arguably, it looked a little cheaper to make than Freezing, I have to really wonder why animate this mangawha if it was going to be portrayed this way... without a doubt, it seems to be holding up a little well, but undoubtly it could have been better, and this is strange coming from me only 2 episodes in. Or maybe this is how it's supposed to be, start off as misleadingly as the mangawha did. |

What's with all characters from the UK acting all high and mighty?
First there was that blonde in Infinite Stratos and now Ganessa in Freezing. Is that what the Japanese think of us? Now that I think about it it's not that different. All you need to do is put a cigarette in one of Ganessa's hand, a can of lager in the other, make her wear a tracksuit and you've got what the general populace of the UK looks and acts like. But that's me going off topic, sorry. |

Oh please...for ep 3, please keep the brutality and the blood... (prays). The anime studio wrecked the Pandora suits, please don't take away my dose of blood as well.

Rewatched the Ganessa-Satelliser battle now, and yes - that was indeed the most ludicrous battle I've ever seen
Satelliser is seriously handicapped, first by having to walk on a crutch. In the battle, she moves and walks normally - miracle healing, or was she playing attention whore and only used the crutch so others come and pity her? Secondly, she only has one healthy eye. This means she has now no spatial vision, and her spatial coordination ability is near zero because of that. Difficult actions like evading quickly moving objects (like Ganessa's chains) are not possible like that, especially not doing it continually. Much less possible like that even is, while evading the attacks, doing a proper on-target counter attack Ganessa has her clothes ripped open by the attack (which I didn't mind ), but then suddenly faints for no good reason Second part of the battle (with glow-worm Pandora mode) was just as ludicrously cheesy Ganessa chains up Satelliser. So far so good. Satelliser doesn't have her weapon. After hanging there for a while, Satelliser all of a sudden mysteriously also gains the ability to enter Pandora mode, breaks the chains, goes and picks up her weapon and then attacks Ganessa, all of that with Ganessa just standing there and doing nothing - not defending, not anything. After a single stroke only, Ganessa suddenly faints again for no good reason, poor girl The fight was like watching an extremely bad b-movie If the upcoming battles in the coming episodes are just as retarded (superior girl attacks Satelliser, Satelliser coughs, other girl is suddenly defeated), I'll definitely drop it - I really don't need a B-movie series My feeling that Satelliser is ruining the show is growing ever stronger and stronger, so I fully agree with Ganessa there: Quote:
Same blonde hair as Vicky Pollard, too, so that fits as well

And this title is primarily about Satellizer and Kazuya so I'd expect a certain blonde female to be winning more battles.

Stella on the otherhand is a strong, proper, upper class lady with a very reasonable excuse for her cold behavior and "I'll kill you if you touch me" attitude.

Notice: Freezing has been licensed by Funimation (for streaming initially). Simulcasts are supposed to start January 24.
Source Usual restrictions (regarding discussions about fansub groups, etc) apply. (Now lets hope Freezing's production commitee has more common sense ) |

"Beast" fits nicely for Satelliser
Ganessa is the "Beauty" then. (Although I don't see any relationship there... perhaps we should better take Kazuya as "Beauty" ) Quote:
We haven't seen anything about the class of her family except that her parents, most likely her mother, seem to have been famous, but nothing about her standing. However, as she doesn't have any titles, an "of" in her surname or similar, we can safely assume that she's no upper class girl. She doesn't have any excuse for her cold behaviour either (if she had one, it should've been introduced by now). If they keep up that poor B-movie level for the fights, Funimation will bite themselves in their collective asses for licencing it

But, really. In an academy like that, I really don't see why anyone can't turn cold. It's an academy that allows you to dish out lifethreatening wounds (and some deaths) on a daily basis. And it's ok, Satelliser has the power of epic p'wnage and Ganessa has the title of being p'wned. As long as she gives me more gruesome kills, I'll support her.
