Well the shit finally hits the fan
I am not sold on this so called Yuji makes a contract with a ancient god in order the change the world but he has a master plan. So far his subtle reasons are the only thing making me doubt the series so far. Depending on when we get a real explanation of what hes up too will determine if this series fails or soars to the heavens for me. I was not prepared to see Margery have a complete and total melt down. Even if Yuji is doing this for good he still mentally destroyed someone who he use to call a friend. Yuji freely admits to starting a war he better be ready to walk through the rest of life with blood stained hands from all the lives will be lost. Bal Masque is not going to be happy about Shana being there and the fight between Yuji and Shana was underwhelming but at least the love triangle is fucking over. giving it a 9/10

I think Margery trying to kill him about three times ended any possible friendship. |

He said he couldn't leave without a reply (I don't remember in which episode), so he just returned them. Also, in ep. 1 or 2, of final season, Shana said 'till the letters disappear they still have hope regarding Yuji.
I think, in the rush of his decision in leaving, it was the way Yuji found to say he still existed. Although, if it were me, my interpretation of the return of the letters would be "I don't want your love!" ahahah |

So, until we get some answers as what or why it triggered on Yuuji to accept Serpent of the Altar, we can only entertain ourselves with some rich character insight memories or a very cool fight.
The fourth episode was packed with punch and serving twisted truths concerning Margery's obsession with the Silver. Spoiler:
Oh, yes... The letters which those pieces of plot devices became severely crippled and outshadowed in the transition from season two to this one. Spoiler:
