So um this comment has been circulating on twitter among Japanese fans after the SUGOI awards ceremony. It got translated and on r/re:zero there is a thread that confirms what is said.

Not good news. With how they made arc 3 I don't have hope that arc 4 and eventually arc 5 could be done justice.

Arc 3 was fine for the most part and the anime was extremely popular. No reason for them not go for continuation. There isn't any anime aside from his would even forgo the OP and ED in multiple episodes just to fit in more content.

Yep, it's basically been restructured so that won't be as long as the WN while still hitting the same story beats.

No, not at this time.

But it's pretty obvious that Echidna at least will return to the spotlight again because of what happened at the end of Arc 4 and the importance of her character to the overall story.

Emilia hasn't cut her hair any point in the main universe/timeline. However it did happen in an alternate universe that follows what would have happened if Subaru had accepted Echidna's contract to help put Emilia on the throne faster.

Well in that alternate timeline she did cos the trials drove her bonkers and she wanted to get Subaru's attention and affection due to her over-dependence on Subaru. So she started asking for headpats and cut her hair short.

It's not officially out yet, so we don't know. But judging the pics we might be ending at Satella's appearance.

But, man the volume looks a lot of great scenes and be all round awesome.
