No one officially confirmed it would be 5 min per ep. Stop making things.

That PV was by far the most disturbing PV I've ever seen. >___<

"Onii-chan onii-chan onii-chan onii-chan"

Yes, hello, nightmares.

The second PV didn't have the repeated 'onii-chan' bit, and did feel somewhat less disturbing for it, I thought. Definitely some high octane nightmare fuel!

Well, having looked into some of the source material, I was actually a bit disappointed...
The PV was interesting, but the actual plot didn't seem like much.

Spoiler for Manga Vol 1/ (vague) First impressions:

Could someone who has read beyond that let me know if it picks up? I'd really like to hear people's thoughts on if this is worth sticking with =)
I'll definitely still give the anime a spin when it eventually gets released in any case though.

Btw... considering the manga ends this month, the adaption could in theory cover all the source material, right? That would be brilliant, considering how many anime don't and just slap on original endings.

Possible, but not likely. The anime adaptation would have had to start production at least a year ago. In which case the manga wouldn't have been close to finishing yet. Of course the mangaka may have already known he was getting close to ending it and where he wanted things to go and discussed that with the scriptwriter and director.

Conversely! It's nearly certain. You probably don't know that classical production of anime is carried out continuously until the actual premiere. And even after that, before the release on BD/DVD. Is more than likely that the last few episodes is still in full production at this moment and they still have more than enough time to prepare them before their premiere in early April (in the case of 12 episodes) or later (in the case of more episodes). Not to mention that they could discuss about ending with the author some time ago as you say.

Yes, I do realize that anime production can come down to the wire like an episode getting finished right before it's suppose to air. However, I would think the script itself was mostly likely done before they started any animation though. Is it possible that they went back and changed things after the fact, sure, but I would imagine that they wouldn't want to change to much as many production studios are already having a hard time finishing things on time without changes to the script. Like I said, it's not unlikely, and it's possible that this delay may have been because of that, them going back and deciding to make changes. I just don't think it's very probable, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Don't think, look at previous cases where the manga was just completed during the production of anime. Probably the best known case is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. There was only a month between release of the last chapter of manga and the last episode of anime. And there are other similar cases. It's not unusual. Everything is just about how much was author or publisher of original manga involved in production of anime. And since Earth Star Entertainment is apparently one of the major producers of anime, everything is clear.

Agreed, the sound effect made the scene.

It seems there will be a pre-airing event on December 21, 2013. Theres will be 2 session, each session seems to be 1 hour and 30 minutes long. The event will be a talk show and a screening of uncensored version of episode 1-8.

Based on that news, I guess this series is probably a short and the TV airing will be censored (not sure about the Nico Nico one).
I wonder how long this series is going to be. Usually only 1 or 2 episodes are shown at pre-airing event, yet they're going to show 8 episodes at once this time.

By 90 minutes and 8 episode, minus some time befioe and after, each episode would be around 10 minutes long, similar to the situation of muromi-san...
